I just got the following email... from what i can tell its because i have GSP enabled on these items. I'm not sure why the items were completely removed instead of just turning off GSP. Is there anyway to recover the listings or do i have to start them over from scratch?
After reviewing your eBay account, we've taken the following action:
- Violating listings have been removed. A list of items that were removed can be viewed at the bottom of this message.
- We have credited all associated fees except for the final value fee for your listing(s).
Your listing or product was reviewed after the rights owner notified us that your item violated their rights.
Importing certain products from other countries without the rights owners permission may violate their intellectual property rights. Because of this, eBay reviews these items when we are contacted by the rights owner.
We encourage you to contact the rights owner directly to better understand their position, as well as the countries or regions that they are concerned about. You will then want to exclude these regions in your postings and will also need to state that you won't sell to buyers in these areas.

Please be sure your current and future listings follow these guidelines, keeping in mind that additional violations could result in the suspension of your account.
The rights owner or an agent authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner, Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P., notified eBay that this listing violates intellectual property rights. When eBay receives a report of this type of violation, we remove the listing to comply with the law.
Thanks,
eBay

It's possible that those items were made for the US only and that turning off the gsp will make a difference but it is also possible that they were made for other countries and are NOT to be sold in the US. You should contact the rights holder as suggested so that you know they won't be taken down again.

no,dairy products if you let it sit outside the fridge too long,it get spoiled, and even if you keep in the fridge if the temperature is not cold enough,it spoils easily.
KR has a policy if the customer has taken the refrigerated stuff or raw meat outside the store, and try to return them, they will not put them back on the shelf.

That would depend upon the item, obviously.
I had an Epson laser printer for almost 10 years, and after a while I had no choice but to use expired toner cartridges - because new ones were no longer available. It eventually died from a paper feed mechanism failure, but the expired toner cartridges never caused an issue.

Or HP think they are not authentic.
If they are that old,it could jamm the printer and give HP a bad name.
As for dairy products,I have gotten sick a few times buying creamer close to expiration date and ice cream which is not close to expiration date.
Altho Kroger has a policy, once the frozen items/fresh meat have left the premise and returned, they dont put them back on the shelf, they ditch them
Like HP could be given a worse name than they give themselves?
So tired of their constant popups to use their ink service thing.

I have used old film which sat in a car map box for years and amazingly it was fine. You never know. There are lots of articles out there about the foods that last way beyond the exp dates...eggs for one. Mother Earth News did an experiment with refrigerated eggs and found that they were still edible after SIX months. When I find a good sale on eggs I buy dozens.
What bugs me is all the recipe magazines with recipes for vinaigrettes and other vinegar and sugar based ingredients that recommend tossing after three days. Hahahaha, they will last for months. Just refrigerate them. Think pickles. If you open a jar of pickles do you throw them out after 3 days? No.
And a very recent article says that even commercial mayo doesn't need to be refrigerated. That's going a bit too far for me, I get food poisoning very easily. So it stays in the **bleep**.
Mayo & other dressings I refrigerate, but growing up down under I find it weird to refrigerate stuff like jam/jelly, ketchup, peanut butter etc.

Interesting, thanks for the info.

This appears to be a VERO take down and you will need to deal with the rights owner if you believe it was not justified.
I believe some items are restricted from being sold in other countries by trade agreements and treaties. This may be the reason for the take down. I would suggest you follow the instructions and contact the rights owner and not attempt to relist.

Actually, baby formula is also fine long past the expiration date.
Many hospitals donate their expired formula to churches in Mexico, for distribution. I used it myself twenty-some years ago.
LOL, there’s a reason the survivors aren’t starving 5 years into the zombie apocalypse. Canned stuff virtually never goes bad.
