It seems the traffic even people looking is very slow. Haven't had any sales for months. Is anyone experiencing this? Never was this bad before

That is false
I have been selling online since 2000 and with eBay the same
You are spreading rumors

What's false and what's the rumor? Hey I want ebay to succeed in whatever it does, When ebay succeeds we all do but they haven't been doing to good for the last few years. FACT!

Fact that others are doing well here and others are not
Sales are a forever evolving market and especially resale
Could ALL platforms do better - Sure every year
In 21 years I have seen eBay go up and down but that does not mean in the last couple of years they have drastically done "something"

Have not had a sale or even a question in four, now five days. Having over 5300 items on it is unusual. Also very unusual for this time of year. I have been a seller on eBay since the beginning. Anyone know what is going on???

You will hear from ebay employees that you don't have enough listed and you should list more, or you just don't work hard enough. Obviously none of that is true, but they will try to blame you. To me ebay is broken. Good luck to you.

You will get no help from the boards on this. I've been on Ebay since forever and whenever there is a down turn and sales dry up, people post about it and the cheerleaders will tell you everything is great, must be what you are selling, my sales are way up must be you, they will look at your stuff and tell you what you are doing wrong. As far as this board is concerned sales are never down, it's just you.

Promoted Listing Advanced is still currently in Beta and probably glitching over into Promoted Listings Standard (and Promotions)

I suggested the OP list more, but I don't work for eBay, I just know how to sell in super-saturated markets. Running only 35 items in a super-saturated market like jewellery is going to result in not very many sales. That just seems like commonsense.

I have found that the summer months are always slow for me - people are on vacation now that they can travel, then there is school starting, then Halloween, THEN people start thinking about the holidays and we get super busy. It was this way when I was doing western shows and it has been this way since I started doing eBay. I still think that we will do better this year - last year was crazy busy after Halloween and I think that a lot of people have figured out that it is cheaper and easier to order online that to fight the traffic at the malls.
What worries me is the increase in shipping charges from the Post Office along with the expected delays. Hopefully people have listened to the news and know we are not the blame for slow delivery. I lived through that last year!!!

My sales has been almost nonexistent as of lately . I will get maybe one sale a week if I'm lucky but there have been times when I would have none at all for several weeks in a row . This kind of activity will kill small business and there are many of us who use our small businesses as full time or part time employment , or for supplemental income .

@domin-tomas Explain please. I just looked at your listings and there are 144 available in which I could have bought any one if I chose to.

What do you tell a seller like this? "Have not had a sale or even a question in four, now five days. Having over 5300 items on it is unusual"

Being broke doesn't always mean broken in a broke way, broke also means that not being a functioning unit.
10-09-2021 05:29 PM
@domin-tomas Explain please. What is a non functioning unit ? You have 144 items for sale. If I wanted one I can click BIN, pay, and have you ship to me.

Not to mention that jewelry just plain isn't selling well right now, period. I work B&M retail; our jewelry sales have been dismal for quite a while now.
