It seems the traffic even people looking is very slow. Haven't had any sales for months. Is anyone experiencing this? Never was this bad before

Not to complain, but the boards are already filled with threads like this. Have a browse through, sadly it appears to be a site wide problem for many, and you can only hope things improve.

No sale in Months! Wow, that's really bad. Wait till Promoted Listings Part 6 arrives. You will have no sales in Years.

NO OFFENSE!
If you haven't had any sales in months you are probably doing something wrong.
Also, keep in mind...
Having no sales in months would not be that unusual if you only had a few items listed.
If you had 250 items listed, having no sales in months would be insane.
The more you have listed the better chance of making a sale.
A) Sell better stuff (stuff that people want)
B) Lower your prices
C) Both

Same here.... Jan 2021-April 2021 I averaged between 25-40 sales per month.... Then it was like someone turned a faucet off.... May, June, July, August and September, I had 30 sales for the 5 month total. I specialize in vintage wrestling cards and the product moves well and has for sometime, but the past 5 months have been brutal for sales.

Ebay is seriously broken, many sellers are having this issue. I feel like my items are invisible most of the time. Have very few views and very few sales. My sales have dropped in the thousands in the last few years. Sad, very sad.

Past results do not guarantee future performance.
If I list something that is hard to find and in demand buyers will jump on it with an incredible number of views and watchers and bids.
eBay is not broken.

Sports cards sales have slowed down not just here on eBay. I know lots of dealers that sell on eBay, at shows, or own stores. They have pretty much all told me their sales have dropped significantly from 6 to 8 months ago. I go to the major show in Chicago, Philly, Boston and etc to source inventory. The last few shows I’ve finally been able makes some deals with dealers where I can make money. As a matter of fact I bought more than expected at my last show I went to in Philly.
Before that dealers were not willing to make deals because things were flying off the shelf on here, in the stores, and at shows when they first started having them again.
The market for sports cards is still strong but the collectors have more options to purchase besides online now. The attendance at the major and local shows are way up. The attendance at this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention was a record back in late July. I also think the stimulus money earlier had a big effect on sales. My sales on here are still higher than before pandemic but nowhere near there peak during the pandemic.

Sorry ebay, your broken. I've been around to long to know that when your making less money every year and make more money on other platforms and your web site, you know that something is amiss. I list on ebay not expecting to sell and if I do i consider that as a bonus. Ebay was a great platform in it's hay day but I think it lost a step or two. Not that I'm afraid of change, heck I always say out with the old and in with the new.

Something definitely changed when eBay introduced the Promoted Listing Advanced

You have very few items for sale, in a market which can be very slow. Also I see only a sale showing here and there over the last months, anyway - very good sales, but only a few. I think you need to post more items.

I often wonder if these people leased a space in shopping mall, "Bob's Widget Store". Would they blame the mall owner for slow sales? Would the mall be broken?
Most of the other tenants are doing fine. Maybe, just maybe, nobody wants to buy what you are selling? Nah, it can't be that.

Yes I do wonder if many thing just listing on eBay is a guaranteed sale?
If they have even worked retail before?
Just want to list and forget?
Retail is a tough game and it takes work

Been selling on line for 10 years and with ebay for those 10. When you sell more of the same item on other platforms then on ebay there is something wrong with the platform. Besides I pay ebay monthly for a service and expect something for it.
