Not sure what to do here, but I recently received my first negative feedback and it was posted before the buyer contacted me. Since it was international, ebay gave the buyer 100% of their refund, which I suggested to the buyer to start the return. I apologized and even sent them a 30% coupon, to use in my store, for the inconvenience. The buyer stated that they would remove the negative feedback since I or eBay refunded them the money. I still see the negative feedback. I asked again very nicely if they could remove the negative. No response. The one thing that irritates me is that I never sell internationally. I just bought the upgrade to become a store and all of a sudden an item is being shipped internationally. The item was broken when received and accused of not packaging it properly. My husband tells me that customs must have opened to check it, unwrapped the bubble tape that I secured the item with and repacked with out the bubble wrap. I always make sure that my glass items are wrapped and secure with shipping paper and bubble wrap. How can I resolve this negative feedback if the buyer does not remove it?

You can't make them remove it, you can ask them to revise it like you did but it's up to them to take it down. It looks like you will have to live with it for a year unless they respond. You can list a carefully worded professional response on your feedback page for anyone who is interested in the Neg. Good Luck

Something doesn't add up.
How did Ebay step in to refund the buyer without a return request initiated by them?
A buyer can leave negative feedback based on their buying experience. If the item was broken and they weren't happy, that's their experience.
I probably would have just refunded them the $32 they paid. As far as the coupon, if I was they buyer, I would have been insulted with a 30% coupon to use for a seller I had a bad experience with.
I'm sorry this happened to you! It does happen, unfortunately. I feel like you tried to resolve the issue to the best of your ability

If the buyer ends up not changing it, leave a follow up comment underneath

Did you send your buyer an actual feedback revision request? You find that option at the bottom of your feedback page---at least it used to be there. They have 10 days to respond.

Thank you so much for the links. I sent the buyer the request form. Let’s see if they honor their words.

If you are interested in sending the buyer a feedback revision, go to your feedback page and go to the bottom of page and under Suggested Next click on Feedback Revision and follow prompts. They have 10 days to respond and if not then go ahead and leave a response to their feedback. Good Luck

If you shipped to the ebay hub and ebay refunded your buyer then the FB should also be removable.

Yes I did, after the fact that I posted this thread, my research stumbled across the revision request 😂 always happens, always answer my own questions 😂❤️ thank you for your feedback

If you used the new EIS, it states that you're protected from any negative FB.

Great idea for afterwards. Thank you for the tip!

Well, since eBay I guess was trying something with my store (international) they took the initiative of giving the buyer their money back. I stated to the buyer to start a refund request on their side and I will honor it. When I went back onto my page afterwards, eBay sent a message that I did not have to worry about refunding the buyer, that they took care of it, due to the item being sent international. Like I said, first time for me selling something internationally. I need to either contact eBay and have them not continue whatever they did or try and figure out how to set my listings as domestic. I know when you start a listing there is a button you can click under shipping to turn on international selling. I’ve never turned that on for any of my listings. I’m as clueless as you about this.

While you're there tell ebay you'd like the FB removed under the terms of their international shipping.

It's your decision of course, but it sounds like it worked out for you since you get to keep the money and ebay refunded. I'm hoping this international shipping will help me with sales and I just made my first one last week. It could have broken in a domestic sale too.

Always a good idea when shipping fragile, glass, items to double box. Bubble wrap will not protect the item from a hard jolt that can shatter the glass.
