Moving Items into Store - help

I feel like the dumbest person so I apologize upfront.  I used to have an ebay store way back in the day....early 2000s and never had any issue setting things up.  Now I decided to sign up for a store and put my ended items that didn't sell into the store and let them stay there.  Here's where stupidity comes into play, for the life of me I can't figure out how in the world to move my ended items into the store.   Is it as simple as....making it a buy it now price and it will go to the store automatically after that?  I don't want them to relist as an auction with a set number of days, just simply a price and no ending day until I delete it.  I've watched video after video, read the help sections....and still I am dumbfounded.  I'm ready to just delete the store all together because I can't figure this out.  TIA

Listings (all) automatically show in the store........

But FIRST you need to make store categories (if you want them)  or decide to use ebay categories.

Once you've made the store categories......then, when you make a listing, you will be able to chose which store category each listing  goes into.......

Yes, it's that simple.  You have been around so long, you might remember the days of "Store vs Core" where there were two types of fixed-price listings, and the Store listings were some sort of second-class citizen.  eBay has streamlined the formatting options since then: if you list in fixed price format, then the duration is automatically "Good until canceled"  and as noted all of your listings are automatically in your Store.

Re: Moving Items into Store - help

yes but I have 545 items total that didn't sell, so what do I do with these to get them back into the store, just go make them a fixed price and relist?

Yes, it's that simple.

What level of Store subscription did you choose?  The "Starter" store includes only 250 free insertions (same as non-stores) so you'd end up paying for most of those 545 relists.  But if you subscribed at the "Basic" level or above, you're all set to go.

Re: Moving Items into Store - help

Ok then I may have to switch.  I don't understand the concept though of wanting my active auction items in the store.  I don't care about those being in there since they are the auction format, I just wanted any unsold items to go into the store.

Re: Moving Items into Store - help

OH!

You know how to list an item

And you have a Store.

So any item you list will automatically go into your Store.

When your Fixed Price listings end after 30 days Unsold, they will automatically relist.

When your Auctions end, they go into your Unsolds.

Look at the listings in your Unsold List.

There is Relist at the top of the list and Actions/Relist as a dropdown on the left.

Use Sell Similar, then when you get down to Pricing/Format under the Description change the format from Auction to Buy It Now.

It's pretty intuitive.

Re: Moving Items into Store - help

All of your listed items will show in your store whether they are auctions or fixed price. There isn't an option to choose which ones you want to see in your store. Obviously you can't see unsold listings there but once you choose a format, etc and list them, they will be seen when a buyer clicks on 'view listings' or goes to your store.

Re: Moving Items into Store - help

It won't be easy to delete the store if you wanted to. When you signed up for a store and chose its name, you were locked into a subscription plan for a year. Each month eBay withdraws from your funds the store monthly payment based on the plan you chose. There is a penalty for removing the store early based on how many months you have left of that yearly subscription. When the year is up, you have the option to continue or opt out.

As the others stated, all listings show up in the store. Your buyers will see all of them at once or click on Categories and see those items in the category they chose. It takes about 15 minutes for a new listing to be seen in your store, even though the listing is immediately active.

The beauty of a store is that a buyer can see everything in your store, and you can utilize marketing strategies such as running sales or markdowns if you can figure out the margin for your items on sale. Also, on each listing will be a store link that will take a potential buyer to your store.

That is true only if the seller signed up for a store subscription. They may have chosen the month to month plan.

Re: Moving Items into Store - help

Thank you for all the advice an answers.  I did sign up for the basic store charged monthly.  I guess I'll start going back to the unsold items and getting them switched to fixed price and relist.

@havenwoodcottage

First, you are NOT "the dumbest person".  Sometimes we just don't know where to find the answers we need.  You came to the right place.

First, if you aren't already, get familiar with your Seller Hub.  It has endless information and short cuts to really help you do all kinds of tasks and research.

Overview - eBay Seller Hub

You can customize your SH to have the many boxes appear in the order in which you use them most.  If you need more info on how to do that, just ask.

Now to your actual question of how or where to find those older listings.  As you likely know, Ebay will hold them for up to 90 days.  Look in the SH box called LISTINGS.  In the box you will find a detailed lists of what you can find from this box.

Notice the option towards the bottom, UNSOLD and NOT RELISTED.  There you should be able to find all the listings you are looking for.  You can select all of them or a group of them.  However it works best for you.   Then click on the option from the drop down menu [in blue], click on SELL SIMILAR.

Now you can change auctions to Buy it Nows / Fixed price listings / Good till Cancelled, whatever you prefer to call them.

If you have any issues, come on back and ask.

Good Luck with your New Store.
