Just noticed this tonight - and it is only on Chrome (also Chromium). Now when I click on any item for sale - it tells me the number of items still available, but the sales history is GONE. Still shows in Firefox though.
As a seller, I have some items have have sold in the hundreds, and I believe that helps me sell items.
Why does ebay every few months keep playing around with what to display/not display as far as number of items available and sold for a listing?

I mainly use firefox and it's not showing the selling history there too for me.
You can copy and paste the URL below in your address bar, and add the item number at the end to see the selling history.
ebay.com/bin/purchaseHistory?item=

I randomly selected 3 of your listings, all 3 showed the quantity sold in both FireFox and Chrome.
When I click on See Sellers Items all 11 are also showing the number sold below "last one".
Looking at my own listings using this posting id I see the amount sold on all the individual listing pages and most of the "Sellers Other Items" list.

I'm seeing the same thing as you're seeing. Let's hope this is yet another glitch.

eBay is always running tests on the buyer's listing view @brandonsvsu @iamalwaysright .
Click the ? icon on the lower right corner of the listing page and submit feedback. It's one of the ways eBay tracks feedback when they run tests and decide which changes to discard and which to roll out site wide.

Yeah, I hope this comes back. I think a large number of items sold helps build buyer confidence.

Might try updating Chrome and clearing cache

It looks to me like they may just be doing some A/B testing around placement and call out of certain info on the view item page.
In Firefox, I still see the sold number displayed next to the available number and the little "bubble blurbs" (for lack of a better term 😂) that you see as you continue scrolling down show return info, number in watch list or other info that occasionally changes when you refresh the page.
That same listing viewed in Chrome does not have the sold number next to the available number, but it does show it is called out in the "bubble" further down:
I've checked about a dozen items so far and this trend stays consistent - the wording in the call out sometimes changes on different items or when refreshing ("popular item", "other people bought this", "this one's trending" etc.) but they all say whatever number have already sold.
I have not yet found any examples where it is missing from next to the available number and also not included in the area lower down, so my guess is they are just testing to see if there are different buyer reactions or preferences to it being shown with a call out phrase and icon vs just the number next to the available number - but if anyone is seeing examples of it missing from both places and not shown anywhere on the page at all, I'd definitely be interested in that too!
Edit to add: while eBay likely has its own ways they passively track results of this kind of A/B testing, I absolutely agree with @wastingtime101 that the best way to let eBay know what you think of it is to use the question mark icon to give them direct feedback.

I'm seeing the same problem. Quantity sold is gone. I talked to customer service and they act like they don't know what I'm talking about.

@regionoffroad is it completely gone (nowhere on the page) or just moved to a different spot like in the screenshots I posted above?

It varies by listing. Most its completely gone, a few have in the grey box as shown above. Some show it in search but not in the listing. I'd say 80-90% are not showing it at all in any way.

On the Mobile version of eBay they have moved it farther down below the number of watchers.
This is what it currently looks like.

As well as other benefits when you're a seller 😉

This might be a glitch because of "an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period" lol.
Ebay seems to be using that excuse more regularly now to explain the problems with their site. Next thing we know buyer's are going to complain how come their sales are plummeting to the ground and ebay will say it's due to "an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period". You're sales are down because too many people are using the site. 😉
