Just noticed this tonight - and it is only on Chrome (also Chromium). Now when I click on any item for sale - it tells me the number of items still available, but the sales history is GONE. Still shows in Firefox though.
As a seller, I have some items have have sold in the hundreds, and I believe that helps me sell items.
Why does ebay every few months keep playing around with what to display/not display as far as number of items available and sold for a listing?

If you look at the post by @go-bad-chicken , you will see that on the Mobile App they weren't deleted, but moved.
On desktop, I still see them where we are normally accustom to seeing the info.

I just pulled up one of my items on firefox on one monitor and chrome on another, firefox shows # sold chrome does not.
I also recently discovered that I could not file a USPS lost package claim on chrome but could on firefox

What type of device are you using?

It still show the number sold.
If you are not seeing that, you are having a browser issue -or- experiencing a temporary ebay glitch -or- both.

To be clear and for the sake of accuracy just in case new sellers come along and read this thread in the future...... the screenshot that I posted earlier (Post #13) are off of my phone using the eBay "Mobile" site and NOT THE EBAY APP.
The eBay app for Android or IOS is a totally different animal than the eBay Mobile site.
There are currently many iterations of the eBay site online.
These are the ones that i am aware of:
eBay desktop
eBay Mobile
eBay IOS
and
The eBay App
My earlier screenshots were taken off of my phone (Samsung S24 with the current Android update) from the "eBay Mobile site"
And as of right now I'm seeing a totally different view from the eBay desktop site, which is running the current Firefox update and using Windows 10.
I'll post some screenshots of that view here shortly.
For sure eBay is at this time currently playing around with this customer face fronting feature.

That is what I use and I have the most current Windows and I use Chrome too. Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies recently. It sounds like a display issue not an Ebay issue. Does your Chrome need to update?

Thank you for making these distinctions as they are important. On my Desktop and using my phone to access Ebay WITHOUT using the app, I see the number sold in the About this Item section.
Thank you again!

This is what I see using the desktop site via Windows 10 with the current update of Firefox
eBay appears to be showing the quantity sold within search.
But within the listing the are not showing the quantity sold but rather "Returns Accepted" and the # of Watchers.
In my onion the most important relevant information as a seller that should be displayed to prospective buyers is:
# of Solds
and
# of Watchers
NOT "Returns Accepeted" that is more than likely a given, and that info is available elsewhere.
The more I think about this (my personnel conspiracy theory) is that eBay may be trying to remove that listing credibility (# of Solds) so that it might end up creating doubt when a prospective buyer navigates to that listing from search and then feels more compelled to checkout that listings competition via its competing sellers promoted listings, and then eBay ends up with a promoted listing sale vs a non promoted listing sale.
Something for sellers to think about if this experiment/change happens to stick.

Replying to this thread more than a month after it started.
As of today April 15th, 2025, the number of items sold, is not showing up on listings using both Chrome and Firefox.
Not only are the number of items sold not showing up but the categories on top of the listings have not been showing up either, for some time now.
On some of my listings, I have more than 150 sold and this definitely helps to sell more.

They had tested this a while back and just moved the number an bit below where we are use to seeing it. Then they put it back. Now as yesterday it is gone completely or at least I can't find it.
I went to my Seller Hub for Active Listings and I customized my view to add number sold. So I can go there and see the number. You can move the columns around too.

They A/B tested moving and removing qty sold for a while but it seems gone now.
This is fine but it should be an OPTION we can enable/disable on a per listing basis.
We've been wanting that for a long time.
The much bigger site breaking problem is removing the category.
Many times Cassini forces you into a category and you have no idea other results are missing but now you won't even know where you are on the site when in a listing?

I noticed this a few days ago. It's not showing in Chrome or Firefox for me either.
This change plus the previous change of not being able to click on the amount sold to see WHEN they sold is terrible.
