I left negative feedback on a seller who send me a card all scuffed up after saying it was near mint. I reached out before leaving negative feedback, he never answered. Then when I left negative feedback he went and tried to buy a card of my page. I knew he just wanted to buy it to give me negative feedback so I canceled the order. He was still able to leave negative feedback. Ebay wont remove his feedback. I am SICK AND TIRED of ebay not taking care of sellers. They think they are taking care of customers by taking care of the buyers, we provide the inventory and we pay them! We need to do something together about how ebay chooses to do business.

This is why smart members have separate buying and selling id's.

Did you not open an item not as described case?

Anytime you use the same selling ID as a buying ID, make sure you add the problematic seller to your BBL to prevent any shenanigans. Also, you left negative feedback as positive feedback. When you do leave negative feedback, keep it professional without any personal attacks. The feedback you did leave could be possibly removed by eBay. The feedback they did leave you does not violate policy even if it is obvious retaliation purchase/feedback.
You may want to contact Facebook/ebay customer service to explain your situation to see if they would remove the feedback from you.
-Good luck

You shot yourself in the foot:
Had you fulfilled your obligation to sell the item........and he had then left the neg feedback......you might have had a chance of getting it removed as retaliatory ....... Instead you cancelled the order based on your "thought" that he MIGHT leave a neg......thus giving him a legit reason to leave one.......

I think one of the most important aspects of selling cards is increasing paranoia and pettiness based upon what they tell us here.

Having left those feedbacks for your buyer, you're going to have a hard time proving yourself to be an innocent victim.
The feedbacks violate policy because sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers and they make you look worse than the buyer.
And lying about the reason for cancelling 2 orders (saying that the buyer requested to cancel) is another wrong you committed.

I agree, and then if you read the other ongoing thread on the same issue, the OP stated an ebay rep told them to do this exact thing.

Wait, so you got a full refund on a $2 card because it was scuffed and you still left negative feedback? Why?

A good reason not to buy and sell on the same account. You are allowed to have more than one.
Did you file an item not as described case to return it for a refund?

When a conflict between a seller and buyer breaks out and a FB war starts with an exchange of words neither party wins. FB does not harm a sellers eBay's performance rating (it did once upon a time) or give them extra bonus points. Either party will have a hard time proving their claim(s). Sellers best course to follow and remain calm, cool and collective (a k a remain professional) and come to some and agreement without eBay getting involved. Buyers FB is always positive.
BTW in 365 calendar days those red hickeys will go a way from immediate sight on your feed back performance rating but will remain in your history boo
PS: always Had a Buyers/ Sellers account with one screen name. Never had an issue

If cards are not professionally graded then it becomes a matter of opinion, & your opinion can be way different from someone else, I try my best with my collectibles & have never had any trouble, But i do let them know i am not a professional grader & to please see photos.
