Buyer purchased item on July 28th. Shipped out on the 29th to a post office box. Buyer opens item not received request on August 4th stating item not received as stated and she still wants the item. Tracking shows that item was delivered to parcel locker in her correct city, state, zip code on August 2nd.
I responded to the request with the tracking information # and a copy of the tracking information and asked her to check with her post office. It has been two days. The case has not closed. Says I have until the 10th to resolve. These used to close automatically I believe when you provided tracking that shows item delivered. Should I do nothing and waiting for it to time out knowing that it "SHOULD" close in my favor since it shows item was delivered? Contact the buyer to see if she contacted her post office to inquire about item and ask her to close case if she received her item? Anyone have any experience with this under new managed payments?

I believe that this is the new scam. People claiming that they did not received items purchased. As long that you have tracking #, and if it says that it was delivered. You are covered. Report this buyers/scammers as making a false claim.
Don't issue a refund, as ebay will see this as voluntary on your part. If you do, you will be out of money and off your item.
I have had this same thing happened to me in the last 3 to 4 months. 3 different buyers pretending that they did not received items that they paid for. On all of the cases, ebay has sided in my favor. The cases were closed and not issue a refund to buyers/scammers. I added this people to my BBL. If they continue to send me messages, I don't respond.

Those are key words. It's been a very long time since I've seen the ability to ask eBay to step in on an INR. Since they made the change to not close out INRs early- I've been forced to wait the 21 business days on every claim. There hasn't been an ask eBay to step in option for me.
Maybe I misunderstood the OP- I said to wait it out because I assumed she'd have to get CS on chat or something to attempt an escalation. If she has the option to ask eBay to step in through the case then that changes things. But like I said- I haven't seen that option in a year or two.
Yea I honestly don't know the rule these days on when ebay allows me to do that... but I've had that option on a few recently. And yes, the option comes less often than it used to for me. I don't pay much attention to those cases because I know it's a slam dunk. It's usually when I check the disputes page (which ebay "conveniently" removed from Seller Hub direct access) and I notice I have a bunch of pending open INRs. Then I start clicking them all to see which ones I can have ebay step in and close out. Ends up freeing up a good chunk of cash that was just sitting there.

You can escalate the case when its possible and it will be closed in your favour.
Or you can contact ebay CS and ask them to close the case. While this should work just as well and faster you never know these days.

Sometimes INR's close automatically, half the time they don't. I don't know why, but never use the option within a case to 'Ask eBay to step in and help' (as a seller). The risk is just too high that you'll get somebody that has no idea what they're doing.
Having said that, if the item has been delivered or was already delivered when the case was opened, there's no reason at all to wait it out, just don't use the automated option. Send a message to eBay for Business on Facebook - inform them that the item has been delivered and ask them to release the funds.
I've had 155 INR's in the last 18 months - I've never had an issue getting an INR closed and the funds released, as long as valid tracking showing the item was delivered had been added to the case within the required time frame.

Correction... this is an old scam.

OH MY LORD! That's crazy. 1 INR every 3.5 days?
Yes. And I shipped every single one on time. My closest USPS sorting facility is in Memphis and it's been an absolute nightmare.

It's more like (gently) poking a princess. I've been doing it once or twice a week for over a year - there's zero danger in messaging eBay on FB and asking for your money in this case. A delivered item is a delivered item, there's very little room for interpretation.
The only exception is if you don't need the money and are great with eBay holding your funds for 3 extra weeks 💸. I will add that I've allowed a couple to time out and did encounter problems. Just throwing that out there.

The below info is taken from the above link>
Add tracking details: You’ll need to provide tracking within 3 business days of the request being opened, if you haven’t done so already. In order to be protected, tracking must be from one the shipping carriers integrated with eBay and must include the date you shipped the item, the date it was delivered, and the address it was delivered to.
Notice that not just tracking, but also date shipped, date delivered and address delivered to.
This is what I've been doing on my cases and then I go thru
AND-OR
Because they have excellent customer service and told me that bc I added ALL required info, not just the tracking (since there are scam sellers who use same zip code delivered tracking numbers) they close the case in my favor.

I spoke too soon. I just checked mine and I’m at 189 INRs in the last 18 months. I forgot peak COVID was a huge mess. Like 20 INRs a day
HAHAHA

It's not that it "should," it's that it will.

No.
Let sleeping dogs lie.

MP doesn't change the way cases resolve.

@stuff4divas Hi All......This is what transpired. As you can see the last option I have is to ask ebay to step in and help......Seems like the easiest step to have to take at this point. Whether it is the wisest remains to be seen.
Thanks! We’ll let the buyer know that you updated tracking details for this item. You can also take another action in the meantime.

I’d do it just to end the commotion. The buyer can deal with appeals if they want to. As for your obligation to the buyer, it’s been 100% fulfilled. Might as well get your money back and not let it sit there in eBay limbo.
