An ever growing percentage of my sales are to Miami (international) freight forwarders. About 10% or so of these sales always result in the buyer opening a INR Case as USPS does not always scan the package as delivered.
What's the proper route to take? I understand buyers who use freight forwarders disqualify themself for eBay Money Back Guarantee. Has anyone had any success disputing these INR cases? Should I contact eBay customer support or just refund them and move on?

What's the final scan status of these packages?

All you to do is provide tracking# to EBAY proving that item was delivered to Miami address. EBAY will rule in your favor.

For packages not scanned/showing 'delivered' you should just refund as you will have no leg to stand on. Better doing that than just ignoring the INR as it must be resolved by the seller (either give tracking or refund, but knowing tracking will do no good.....) or ebay will do it for you and ding you hard.

They ALWAYS show the same tracking and stop moving for these Miami Freight Forwarding companies. Some even have their own zip code due to the amount of packages.
Tues Nov 5 12:00 AM: In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late
Mon Nov 4 12:00 AM: In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late
Sun Nov 3 12:00 AM: In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late
Sat Nov 2 12:00 AM: In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late
Fri Nov 1 7:33 AM: Arrived at USPS Regional Facility. Miami FL Distribution Center 33152
As I understand it, the "In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" are simply automated messages whenever a packages stops moving.

That's incorrect. I've already had a buyer refunded previously on an INR Case for a freight forwarder by eBay.

Any thoughts on reshipping the item?
Considering a reshipment and just adding the new tracking number to the INR Case. This would be the most economically feasible way for me.

First the buyers only loose their MBG coverage after the item reaches and shows as delivered to the FF and even then there are some gray areas.
If you have responded to the INR's or eBay has closed the INR and refunded the buyer you should file a claim with USPS for the lost package. USPS is responsible and required to scan packages at delivery if the postage class includes tracking. Following is the deadline for filing insurance claims with USPS. I had 6 package lost by USPS this year most during the floods in the early spring. None were ever found and I was reimbursed, via check, by USPS within 3 weeks of filing the claim. They refunded the value of the item as well as the shipping cost.

I require a signature for anything I send to Florida. Anything.

I didn't think of that, good idea. Have you had any issues with required signatures on freight forwarding companies in Miami / Doral?

Thanks for the information on filing USPS Claims. For the USPS claim what do you provide USPS to prove the items value? Simply an eBay Sold printout is sufficient? A screenshot or an invoice printout? I've read previously that eBay may deny those claims and requires a non-eBay invoice or receipt of purchase. Just what I read before in this forum, could be wrong though. Thanks in advance.

File for the insurance via USPS. Often this will generate a statement from USPS stating the parcel was indeed "delivered" with the corresponding date. Don't know if that info will arrive in time since there are limited number of days you have to respond to the claim.

same problem last week my item showed delayed delivery for days. Buyer opened a inr case.
i checked the address was for a freight forwarder buyer was original from Chile.
i tried to open a search for missing item with usps and they told me buyer has to contact freight forwarder for information.
I send all the information to the buyer and used Ebay's Ai chat shows all open cases.
I let them review the case and in about 15min Ebay decided in my favor and closed the Case.

So you escalated the INR Case using the eBay chat bot? What information did you provide?

I googled the address and it showed me that it was a freight forwarder i copied the information and send it as a message in the inr case to the buyer.
Second i tried to start a search with usps and they showed that the item was shipped using a freight forwarder service and to contact the freight forwarder for information.
I copied that information and added it to the case.
Thats all i had to do
