How to send an offer with New Messaging system

I just noticed I'm not seeing a link any for sending an offer from a message

Am I missing it?

It may just not be available for that item/buyer.  It does show in the new Messaging system for me, when it's available, but it doesn't show up on every message.  I think it has to do with who initiated the message, the item, and possibly the buyer's settings.

The reply with offer option is usually only available on the first message a buyer sends about an item. It must be a message about the specific item.

However I don't know if it's an option on the app or the new version of ebay messages. I use the old version on the website.

I think there's a way to switch back on the website 

But no way that I've found to do it in the app

It's very annoying sometimes the way they change things

I don't recall, it's been a long time since I've looked at an eBay email.

I do get a link in the email to send offer...and it links back to the messaging tab in ebay where of course there is no option to send an offer.  I've sold hundreds of items with offers and love that now I don't have the option any longer.

Would you mind showing a screenshot of where it is on the screen.  I feel like I've scoured the whole page and even ctrl+f to find words like offer and they just don't exist for me on any messages.  After selling hundreds of my items with offers, this feels incredibly frustrating.  The email from ebay for when someone sent me a message also has the reply with offer link still...but that just links back to the message now instead of the ability to send an offer.

If I remember correctly I was missing the very first email which is what someone mentioned

Here is the desktop version. The Send Offer button appears (if it appears) at the top of the sender's message, just below his eBay ID:

There are a couple of possible problems here:

1. I've walked through a whole lot of incoming messages, and that Send Offer button hardly ever appears. I had to go back to last month just to find one for this screenshot here. My theory is that the prospective buyer has to deliberately choose the message option about making an offer to the seller. 
    
2. That space on the screen is also used (occasionally) for a Buy It Now button as well, if the sender is a seller rather than a buyer:

If both buttons qualify, I don't know which would take precedence.

I am 90% certain this message had the link because I remember thinking about this post when I saw it.

This item sold and then I archived it

I'm speculating but there could be a couple of reasons that it doesn't show anymore

like the item's been sold, I responded to the message, or I archived the  message

I had a first message last week with the make offer button, but as mentioned, it did not seem to show up once it sent me to messages.   I finally just revised my listing to the offer amount and they bought it.

Cool that's the only way I hadn't checked it, going to take a look when I get home and see if we both got the same result

Why does Ebay insist on making changes that make my job harder? I can't for the life of me figure out where they're going from one day to the next. They hinder us from making money, which is why I thought we were all here.

My GUESS is that it has something to do with preventing off site communication or something

But that's just a guess 

I usually blame the developers but that just ticks people off
