How to enter the 6-digit code for confirmation of local pickup on Ebay's website?

I sold an item for local pickup, the buyer got a numeric code which they texted to me.  

How would I enter it on Ebay's website?  I don't use an Ebay app.

I gave it as a tracking # and put "local pickup" as the carrier.  Do they have some other way for sellers to enter it?

I'm tagging @Anonymous on this to see if he can give you the current instructions for this process, but if the buyer enters feedback for you on the transaction indicating the item was received it may release the funds to you.

Hi @csbbct, happy to clarify for everyone - funds are on hold pending delivery confirmation for many sellers. This allows the funds to be available should a refund be required. Funds will remain on hold until 21 days have passed when there is no tracking information, 6 days after the estimated delivery date if the item was marked as shipped, 3 days after positive feedback was received (when no tracking was provided), or within 24-hours of delivery confirmation. For local pickup transactions, a seller can confirm delivery through the eBay app by scanning the QR code or inputting the 6-digit confirmation number directly from the details of your sale.

Does that mean anything to PayPal? Can't someone just open a PayPal case and without tracking, or that QR confirmation, they just win a case EVERY time.

I don't think paypal covers local pickups........and if the $$ were paid in person.......obviously they wouldn't.

It doesn't work.  I tried it last month repeatedly and even called eBay with the buyer.  They just told me to mark it picked up.

I just sold an item via a local pickup.  Buyer gave me the pickup 6 digit code.  Since there is no place to enter the code on eBay's site, I marked it as picked up and put the code both in the Notes section of the order, and I wrote the buyer thanking them through a message on ebay so that ebay now has the record of who picked the item up, date and time of pickup and I wrote the code from the buyer in my message.  That's about all we can do as Sellers to show that the item was picked up.

Yes our company has been doing it this way since we do not use the Ebay app for smartphones. We are processing orders using the Ebay website on our desktop computers.

No way to scan the QR code but eBay did update the font and graphics

Where exactly in the app can I scan the QR code?  I cannot find it.

hello,

I sold an item and have payment waiting until i scan a qr code but the scan says error/item no longer availble when i do it. I can provide full proof that the transsaction happened and was picked up and he sent me the code it just doesnt wsrok.
