@meme6253 sounds like you spoke to the offshore reps? If so, you should try reps on facebook (ebay for business) and before you say it..
I have not EVER used Facebook-but signed up JUST so I could contact them. It worked for me a few times, the reps there have the ability to do things that the offshore cannot.
Would be worth a try for you...

Since it's been established that listing in two categories will generate a ten cent fee per listing. I haven't seen a number to know how much the OP has been charged that is killing him, but we do know they have some listings with two categories.

Except I can't see how they used them all up. They have 10,000 free listings which they do not appear to be even close to using up and then they do listing in some of the categories they can get up to 50,000 additional free listings.
The only thing that makes sense to me is that they list a lot of their listings in two categories. The fees on the second category can't be used from their allotment of free listings.
I've asked this question of @meme6253 but they have not answered it yet. I have also asked them to take a look at their Promotion box in their Seller Hub and tell us what it says, but so far they haven't responded. It is also possible that the details of the charges going through their MP account will also tell us what that additional 10 cents is actually for.
Would you please answer the questions asked in the above post. Many of us here want to try and help you, but you are limiting us by not answering certain questions.

We might as well stop trying to help. Obviously they don't want us to solve this for them since they sure aren't willing to help. This is the answer I received for all my questions:
"I never go over my available listings"

At this point, it's become comical. I am literally LOLing at the OP for the mountain of deflection they keep putting up. They are not hard or personal questions that have been asked. Very basic in fact. I've said it before, certain posters are not really here looking for an answer, they just want to whine and complain. If the problem was actually solved for them, then what would they complain and cry over? We are all here trying to help people. Some just don't want any. Who knows if the OP's original question/complaint was actually even real. Could have been nothing but a story, for all we know. Because it's pretty clear that no one was actually looking to solve this "problem".

That is what I was thinking, you all were getting trolled for entertainment's sake.

I have been very busy with to many things to answer every question here, I am currently calling & working with CS to resolve this matter, & I and many others are sick of coming here & being treated like garbage & the name calling & cyber bullying by sellers like farmall jr, It is unbelievable that ebay would even allow some of the content that he spews out & others, This is where we are suppose to come for help & with questions & someone like him should not even be allowed on this forum!, So if you have any pull & know someone please inform them of his behavior here!

Go through your payment transactions and compile a list of affected item numbers. Actually, you can download a report which should make it pretty easy to sort in Excel.
Cross check those item numbers and remove any listings where the charge is legit (e.g., items with a second category).
Go to seller hub overview>promotional offers and check expired promos to see January's numbers. Make sure there was no issue with the system saying you exceed your free insertions.
When that's done, contact eBay CS and give them the list of affected item numbers and total $ overcharged.
Hi @meme6253 . I realize you are busy, but did you do what I suggested a few days ago? That is the quickest way to find out what's going on and to get resolution. If you were overcharged, providing a list to CS of which charges are erroneous while removing the legit charges is the fastest way to get a credit.
You should be able to download that report from your transactions>reports page, sort by fee type or amount and get a list within a few minutes. Then cross check item numbers and delete anything that has a second category. Once you have a smaller list, go from there. Based on the number of listings you have it shouldn't take long at all, maybe half an hour or so, depending on your proficiency with computers.

Hello everyone,
Please remember that it’s fine to disagree with others, but discussions should always remain courteous and respectful.
Thank you for your cooperation.

The general tone of this thread was not bad. People asked your questions and offered some information, but still that should have been fine. You chose not to answer most questions. You said "I and many others are sick of coming here & being treated like garbage & the name calling & cyber bullying by sellers" That was ONE poster, not most of the posters.
You came here asking for help and many of us have tried to do that, but you ignore us and our questions. So getting upset with most of the posters really isn't fair as they did not say things like the one poster did. However you are using that as a reason to ignore everyone else. Even before that poster posted you were not responding to questions asked, so I'm unsure of your complaint now.
In this post a couple simple questions were asked.

Please review the post and answer the questions.
Since you stated you talked with someone at Ebay on Friday and you still haven't heard back from them, it is unlikely you will. It has been too long. You will need to contact them again.

Sorry if I wasted yours or anyone else's time , I mentioned a few times that some were second category but most were not, I also mentioned some were sell similar but most were not, I was not going to go through 2400 listings to let someone know exactly how many, Because that was not the point, I also just have not had much time, I have a lot going on in life beyond ebay, & the culture on this forum has deteriorated quite a bit when bullying, berating, & belittling people is found to be ok & accepted when no one steps in to stop it!, Very Unprofessional,Very Uncalled For!

Again, you had one poster that got under your skin. The vast majority came here to try and help you and your reaction to that is mostly silence.
You are throwing out some good questions that with answers may be able to help.
Sell Similar or Relist doesn't matter, they affect your allotment of free listings the same.
I do not think anyone asked you to review each of your listings one by one to see if they have a second category on them. With that said it very easily could be the point since the fee for the second category can not be applied to your Free allotment of listings. You do have to actually pay a fee for that.
As for time and a life outside of Ebay, most of us have one. You aren't the only busy person around here, yet we come to try and help you, well most of us do.
Still the questions I asked in my post are important to trying to investigate why you are having this issue. Looking at your Promotion box in your Seller Hub could also tell us all kinds of information. If you would just post that here, it would give us more info to work with in an effort to help you.
If you choose not to participate in sharing more information so we can actually try to help you, then that is on you. You never should have started this thread if you did not what us to try and help you, barring the ONE problematic poster.

I'm trying to set up an auction on another store that I have for a vintage lot of children's books. I have a basic store with 750 listings still available for the month. I haven't run any other auctions for a few months. It's trying to charge me 25 cent listing fee to do an auction. When I change it to buy it now it doesn't charge the fee. When I change the category to anything outside of books it doesn't charge the fee. However any category under books It is charging the fee. There is no second category selected or additional title or anything extra. I really can't figure out why it's trying to charge 25 cents to do a book auction.

To the original poster.
I only had to click on 3 of your listings to find one in multiple categories. That is likely your entire issue.
This link if actually clickable should show you all your listings that are in the categories that have the bonus listings.
