Anyone else getting killed with insertion fees, I have a store & I am getting killed with these fees over the past few months, Never happened like this before, .10 per insertion but apply that to over 2,000 listings you can do the math, Why should I keep listing?

I pay $21.95 a month for a store. And I pay the 1st of the month.
Not sure what store you have but you have a lot listed. And I think those insertion fees are immediately taken out of your "available funds" when you post your items. I would switch to the $21.95 store plan.

I have a premium store and never pay listing fees (unless it's an auction, and its not a "free" category, but it relists as a buy-it-now as free). Sometimes I accidentally have Gallery Plus checked on categories where that's not free, so have to correct it. You should get 10,000 free listings. I think you must be the unfortunate recipient of a glitch of some kind.

Nope. I have six selling accounts with 1200 items and never pay an insertion fee. But I do not have and store subscriptions.
With a premium store and 2500 fixed price listings, you should not get insertion fees because you get 10,000 in all categories.
If you are getting 10 cent insertion fees, that sure sounds like you are getting insertion fees for second categories. (Unless you are ending then all and relisting them all several times a month, which I assume you are not.)
Have you looked up a listing that is getting the 10 cent fee and verified that second categories have not somehow been added?

Maybe you should contact the good people at facebook, X or insta and have them look into it. It sounds like they are billing you for a smaller store than you actually have. Another glitch. Oh goody. Definitely look into it though!!

I was but that was 20 years ago when there were no stores and there were no free listings (except for the day after Christmas).

Basic is 1,000 monthly + 1,000 in certain categories?
Maybe if it makes financial sense, time to upgrade?
That is 10,000 in certain categories.

Good Question, I have no idea?

You should consider dropping to a Basic store the next time your subscription renews. But first make sure it will work for you.
You post in some of the categories where you get an extra 10,000 listings in, so it may save you money.
Back when Ebay changed the structure of the Stores, we had an option to downgrade without penalty. At that time I had a Premium store, I dropped it to a Basic store and it has served me well.
Just something to consider.
These are the categories for the extra listings for a Basic Store.
Select categories for fixed price listings
You can use your 'select categories' fixed price listings allocation in the following categories:
Store type | Zero insertion fee listings allocation per month- See: Notes for Zero insertion fee listing allocations/insertion fee per listing after allocation
Auction-style listings | Fixed price listings
Starter | 250/$0.30 | |

Anchor | 1,000 in select categories/$0.10 | 25,000 all categories/$0.05 |
Enterprise | 2,500 in select categories/$0.10 | 100,000*- See: Notes for Zero insertion fee listing allocations all categories/$0.05 |
All Store types | $20 insertion fee for the following Business & Industrial categories:

All Store types | All listings appropriate for and listed in the Musical Instruments & Gear > Guitars & Basses category are not subject to insertion fees
All Store types | All listings appropriate for and listed in the following categories with a starting price of $150 or more**- See: Notes for Zero insertion fee listing allocations are not subject to insertion fees:

You have a Basic Store.
The OP has a Premium Store.

I don't know that we can help you here. You should contact Ebay and find out what is going on. You also might want to talk to them about downgrading your store as it is unlikely you need to pay all that money for the store lever you currently have. You could save some good money every month if you can downgrade.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

Not everyone leaves feedback, & that's not the issue here, I am being charged insertion fees that I shouldn't be, & my sales have actually been ok until about the past 3 weeks they started plummeting, Yes I do get the feeling I am wasting my time, especially recently, I do promote but Never over 3%, I Never use their recommended rates ever!, What exactly is your list of options?

Speaking just for myself, it is between 25% and 33% of buyers that leave feedback on my account. I completely agree with you, most simply never bother to leave FB.

Go through your payment transactions and compile a list of affected item numbers. Actually, you can download a report which should make it pretty easy to sort in Excel.
Cross check those item numbers and remove any listings where the charge is legit (e.g., items with a second category).
Go to seller hub overview>promotional offers and check expired promos to see January's numbers. Make sure there was no issue with the system saying you exceed your free insertions.
When that's done, contact eBay CS and give them the list of affected item numbers and total $ overcharged.

Some options - cimments:
-Get a bigger store
-Your average monthly sales for the last 90 days (figure that's 3 months) is 33 items. if that's pretty common then End enough items to get below the amount of listings that cause you to incur the extra Insertion fees and replenish monthly at the same rate you are selling.
-Ended listings will remain in your Unsold file for 90 days.
-What is your "Average" sale? When I opened my first Store years ago I waited for my "Average sale" to be at or above the entry level Store for a few months and then opened the Store. That way I figured ONE sale per month paid for the Store. I have gone up in Store levels so now it is a bout 1 1/2 Average sales to pay for the Store.

Seem to be a lot that have a second category - hundreds, I’d think. Do you use out of stock feature?
