Free Returns

I was wondering if anyone here has ever experienced this? After 25 years of no issues today they suddenly started holding funds for a doesn't fit return request. I have always refunded with no issues in the past and they haven't held funds for returns for as long as I can remember. I put in for a call back to ask why and the rep claims it is going to be that way for everyone. If that is the case it would be nice if they went back to the pre covid amount of days for them to ship the return back.

I only remember ebay holding my funds on any type of return except for a short time right after signing up for managed returns.  I had a NAD one in March, but I couldn't go back that far to double check, but don't remember a hold then either.   I hate to see them starting to hold funds again on returns.

I don't recall when I was switched over. Weird update though. I finally had a sale and my account was originally in the negative due to the hold. But when they added the new payment to processing they didn't deduct the amount to hold. And now the hold says in one area it's being held from available funds , and one says it isn't part of processing or available funds. So I am confused.

Yes I am hoping it's some weird glitch. I got a payment in and they didn't deduct the amount from it. One area says it's being held one, and one says it is but not from pending funds. My sales are down 75% from last July so I put a few of the items on my second account that has no listing limit but only 30 feedback. My views were higher so just trying to figure out if I want to keep using this account or try for more views. This account seems like no matter what I do sales decrease.

Just wanted to update. When the sale funds cleared today , they are holding that amount. I clicked the all transactions tab and then holds and this is only the 2nd hold listed on my account in the past 90 days. One was when I had to escalate a case. So they used to not hold funds on my returns. Which I am happy I discovered now rather than later. My store renewal is up this month. This account has had weird issues and low views with dropping sales. I took a few items down and listed them on my other account that I never really got going and not only did I actually get views I sold a few items that were sitting with no views on this account. So if I am subjuect to holds again I may try to build up my othe ID for awhile. It's strange to try everything and get new views only to have my other account be fine.
