First steps for seller

I am only buyer until now, but I want to start selling items now. Is that easy. Can anyone tell me in summary, what are the steps for that?

You need to prepare the source of goods. For example, we have our own factory, which can provide the buyer with professional knowledge and after-sales service.

Selling on eBay requires a lot of work to be successful. But like with most everything, you get back what you put in. 

My best advice to you is to first study the American market and the culture, because the most important step in successful selling is sourcing and selecting the items to sell. This will be your hardest task.

Your goods must be special enough to attract buyers who won’t mind the long wait for an international package to arrive. And i can tell you right now that Ceylon tea, spices, coconut shells and especially cheap unbranded things dropshipped from China are not good sellers, despite what the YouTube eBay guru might tell you. So don’t sell anything that is already available locally to an American buyer.   

Once you have a handle on the American market and have done your research on what to sell, then come back to the forum for advice on how to get started selling on eBay. I wish you all the best of luck and prosperity in your future.

Here are the steps: 

Link your bank account to Payoneer.  Register your account with your country of Sri Lanka as a business.  Very important. Obtain a business license. In a few weeks, sometimes longer, Ebay will send you an email saying that you are approved. 

 This is what you need to do.

Register in Sri Lanka as a business
Get a Payoneer account.
Sign up for Managed Payments and attach your Payoneer account so you can be paid.
It'll take a few weeks to get everything approved.

So you have your own factory which manufactures all of those MC parts that you have listed?

I would also recommend, know what you are selling - the more info you have the more you can put in your ads for each item you post for sale - eBay has photos you can use - but I recommend using (or at least adding) your own photos - so potential buyers can see the actual item for sale. Also, the more you can type in the ad about the item, the better your chances are of selling the item. Good Luck !
