Fees

Hey people,

I’m back with another newby selling questions regarding fees.

On a recent payout
of $190.00

I see my fees are $27.14

The shipping label was $7.60

So I have a net of $155.26

The direct deposit ends up being $145.10 to my bank.

I am at a loss as to where $10.16 disappeared to.

I don’t see any notice of deduction coming from my bank.

Anyone?…..any ideas?

I am not sure what is going on....

https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/payouts

Click on the Payment ID tlink o see what the "payout" consisted of...

the amount is all the way to the right column...is it 145.10 or 155.26?

this page also has the transaction number for your bank to research

If there were other charges associated with this sale where is it?

Its NOT in the detailed accounting of fees!

In essence, eBay emails me that I have a payout of $155.26.

When I log in to bank, bank shows deposit from eBay is $145.10.

The fees have already been accounted for and deducted, I can see that!

What gives?

I’m missing money!

Fees

Yes…..absolutely correct!.

The dollar amount payout to my bank account was sent to me by eBay (155.26)

And, their numbers all add up in the fees breakdown etc.

Frustrated

Could it be a fee that your bank now charges and they took it out ?

That is 'order earning' and is NOT the payout sent. Go to 'payments' (top of page of Seller Hub) and hover; it drops a menu, pick 'deposits'. What does THAT say?

You can have an 'earnings' of $155 for selling a product, but you can also have 'other fees' from 'other things' (listings, other sales, etc) that eBay can be charging you (which could be the $10)

Again, what does the PAYMENTS tab say?

As mentioned, you need to look at the details of your PAYOUT, not the details of that one item.  That will itemize everything coming/going to get to your payout total.   For example, a past postage due amount might have been deducted from this payout.   If you get payouts every week, then it will reflect anything that hit during that week.

again...as pointed out...that is the breakdown (details) of ONLY that sale.....

that part is accurate...155.26 may not be the actual "payout" amount

that can only be determined from the other page link I posted

https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/payouts

WHAT IS THE PAYOUT AMOUNT ON THAT LINE for that date in the last column?

Click on the payout ID for a detailed description of why it might not be 155.26

Per my earlier suggestion.

This is what I do.

I go to "payments", hover on that and click on "Payouts" to see my past payouts.

Then I click on the series of numbers after the payout date to open that particular "payout" to see what was included.

payouts 2023.jpg

This one shows that I was charged for 2 shipping labels, and fees for 2 sales.

The "payout" amount (not shown in this shot) will be over at the far right.

If the amount of deposit is less than the "PAYOUT" amount, then I am truly baffled by that occurrence.

those are some great graphics @buyselljack2016

LOL

for some reason, we can't get the OP to look at that number...like they are in denial or something

I have been trying to pry that amount out the OP since my first post.....

agreed....

Monica,

the amount is $155.26

I may have to go to my bank and have them take a look at the discrepancy.

I don’t se anything on eBay that shows a charge for the 10.00.

You should be able to get an answer from the bank or ebay if there is a discrepancy

That long ID number in the 'memo' on your payout line might help your bank

Well, the OP is adamant that eBay sent an email stating that a "payout" of $155.26 was sent, so there is seriously something amiss here.

Surely any "bank fees" would be a separate line entry on their account.

This just leaves us with a "how can this happen" situation.

Did you ever look at the details link on your PAYOUT?   It isn't the same as the details of your item proceeds.   Go to your payout of $145. itself to see the details of what that is derived from.
