Yup its finally happening! marketplace is taking a vast volume of business from ebay and its down mainly to several points,
1) Ebays fees are simply too much.
2) support is biased and doesnt support the seller nowhere near as much as the buyer
3) interface is rubbish, old and complicated.
4) holding user's money should be stopped.
And of cause I expect a few rocks will be turned over by this and out comes the ebaybots with their brown tongues to try and prove me otherwise lol.

There NO fee waved I just set up shipping and....
@rosemary6525
The "set up shipping" enrolls you if the "pay" version that charges the 5% fee. You get a handy buy button and Facebook becomes your money processor (they send the remainder to your PayPal account).
Once you "set up shipping" it appears (at least to me) there is no opting out. I have looked, and looked some more after some of the sellers in a buy/sell that I admin COULDN'T GET RID OF IT once they signed on.
However, if you list in Marketplace exclusively (not buy/sell groups) you can still list and select NOT to offer shipping. Of course you can put in your description that you will ship, usa a fixed price shipping cost, ship for free, or calculate shipping based size/weight/destinatination zipcode manually.
The difference, other than costing more since you have to pay that 5%, is that FBook will only show your items within a certain mile radius on Marketplace. If you also post to F.Book buy/sell groups, any prospective buyer is NOT going to see your marketplace post with the buy button that is outside that distance.
In my case, I post in Marketplace and Buy/sell groups. I post to a group first, and then select Marketplace as a "post to more places" option. I Never have signed up for the "set up shipping" trap, so they only show my Marketplace items within a distance of 500 miles from my location. The buy/sell group posts are unlimited.
I post a shipping cost, will send a proper PayPal invoice, they can buy it directly from my website, or if local, can pick it up. No fees other than to process the money. Pick up is CASH.
It is the "set up shipping" that gets you into the pay a fee program as it is currently set up.

Yes you met them and its GREAT ZERO FEES. But the items I is just sold thru they shipping program. They charge fees. I assume I ant got paid for neither yet, although both has been delivered. They does take 5% of the TOTAL, just like FEEBAY i.e. they add up the shipping, taxes and item then take the 5% still beats FEEBAY

Again, come June that will change unless they decide to defer it even longer. Sites like Ebay charge a variety of fees. Some sites charge less and some sites charge more. It is all in what is important t you and if a site can give you the sales you desire. That answer isn't the same for everyone.
