I have been on the phone with eBay the past 3 days discussing the above issue. All of a sudden my July sales are getting charged an additional 5% for item not as described. I talked to a few reps and they said it was getting forwarded on to the performance department. I finally got an email from them, not a call which was promised. Everything in the email that talks about seller metrics I already do. The last rep I spoke with agreed the fees seem out of line. The rep I spoke with said she was putting in a dispute for the fees. Anyone else have the same issues?

There are at least 3 discussion topics about this- and in many of them there are posters saying they've had to call CS multiple times.

Can you guys look into this error and let us know if there's a way for sellers to avoid calling in again and again? Some sellers say multiple invoices were affected. Can't eBay identify all affected users, automatically credit them on the next invoice and e-mail them to notify them that the error is being taken care of?

@coffeebean832 typically when issues like this come up we proactively credit fees once the issue is resolved. I don't word whether that'll be the case in this situation (though I assume it will be). Until we know for sure, it's best for sellers to contact support for a credit. If I get an update about this then I'll be sure to update this thread.

Definitely seems to be a problem and so far 3 customer service calls have led to nothing being resolved.

brian@ebay Any update about this? I am still seeing multiple posts regarding this issue. Last evening, a few of my items were not charged the extra 5% on shipping but were on the final value fee. Up until then both the final value and shipping were charged extra. I have waited a few days on what I thought was going to be a call back but nothing yet. I am fine with calling customer service again but honestly, something needs to be done.

They will go on for months charging you this additional fee...I had to cut my Sales to nearly nothing. To stop them from over charging me for 6 returns in 226 Sales..Does that make sense to you?? It is a reason for them to make extra money because people can't afford to buy like they did before the pandemic. Ebay has to keep the Stock Holders Happy...At Our Expense.

I hope you have taken note.That after they change over to their billing method..If you get a "Undescribed" Complaint or Return. They will automatically charge you $20.00..Bingo.....right out of your checking account..At a Stranger Beckoning..It is not Fair and possibleably not legal.

They go back 1 year..Now you have to remember the year follows you from month to month..If you have Returns. They say it is the reason they charge you 5% extra..I sold 226 item in 1 year had 6 returns or it arrived damaged.And they hit me with it..It is their way of keeping the stock holders happy at our expense

The 5% extra is to satisfy the Stock Holders during this bad time our country is going thru....They are robbing it's Sellers.

They do what they want to do at your Exspense...And they make sure we can't do anything about it.I have written 60 minutes about this..I know it sounds like a bit much..But it has gone on Off and on for a year and half..I can't keep my Business going when I'm not making money.When it's being taken from me at their every beckon and call.

This is no Error..It is intentional..They want us to make up for loss sales during the pandemic...They call the shots and Rob you as long as they like..

This is not a Error....it is intentional...They will continue to charge you an 5% additional fee until they decide to stop..
