While creating a listing for auction, a box that I can check reads "Automatically relist this item up to 8 times if it doesn't sell. No insertion or optional listing upgrade fees for each relist"
Does this no fee for automatic relisting still apply if it would take me over the 50 free insertions per month limit?
I can't see any clarification on this when I search Ebays selling rules.

Yes it will count

The "No insertion fees" part means that the relist will not use up one of your free insertions.

So far the consensus is ...
One yes
One no
One thread link where Customer Service says it "should work as promised" but nowhere specifically mentions the 50 insertion limit.
I will try using the auto 8 free relists - this will eventually take me way over the 50 free listing limit, but if this auto listing is as it reads it could be a boon to both sellers and Ebay commissions.

If it says "NO insertion fees, that is what it means.
AS nobodys posted......... it does not use one of your 50 free ones, nor does it charge you if all 50 are gone. I have used the option, and no insertions, free or otherwise were used.

OK thanks good to know - I just needed some affirmation before I used it. I guess I'm a bit suspicious of ebays attempts to foster more fees on to sellers, but this policy sounds not too bad for sellers and ebay.

Yes it does seem to be the case. No fees.

when used as directed for auction listings, when checked for the 8xs free, yes the feature works just fine but to remember this is for auction format only.

Previously, I never thought it counted against the 50 free listing but I am noticing that when you accept additional 200 listings, the auto listings do count against this total. Just to be sure I am removing auto listing from most of mine because I don't want to run out of free listings and then be charged insertion fees. Any one else notice this?

Yup, that is what is happening with this "200 promo". Seems it is a coding error. They are working on it. There is another thread where a "blue" has added those reporting the problem to a list of sellers being adversely affected. (losing the 8 relists)

Should I ask for my money back? I was charged when I had the 200 free listings. I even opened up an account because of this to get more listings.
I cant figure out if I got scammed and if I didn't understand the rules of the "FREE" listings.
