Customer buys a blade for a PS10.
I ship him a blade for PS10.
After receiving the item he starts a INAD return "wrong item sent".
Said I sent him a PS10 blade instead of a PS30 blade.
I accepted the return and paid for a return label.
I'm waiting for the item to be returned.
Before I got a chance to block him he purchases another blade, this time for a PS30.
Do you guys block customers who return?
Should I have any apprehension about his second purchase?

Hi, in almost 99 percent of cases yes I will block them. Reading your case and going on the facts provided I would block them . Most buyers 99 out of 100 times who do returns are just people couldn't care a less about the time money etc. they have wasted on for the seller . If they do it once they will do it again .

I guess I don't know the product, but are a PS10 and a PS30 blade actually different? From your original listing title, I would immediately assume that what you sold fits PS10, PS30, and PS40 interchangeably since they are all in the title.
So if he was looking for a PS30, and bought the PS10/PS30/PS40 and it really didn't fit a PS30, that doesn't sound like a bad buyer to me, just someone who wanted what they expected, a PS30 compatible blade.

It's a variations listing.
You choose between PS10 -or- PS30 -or- PS40.
They are different blades.

My return rate is approaching 13% so I’d be blocking many many people. Which obviously I can’t selling clothing and shoes. In your case I would since the buyer is being treacherous.

You should definitely block him. It seems odd that he would order a second item from you right after he complained about the first item. You also should cancel any pending sales you have with him.

What reason would you use?

You don't say what your return policy is.
Mine is 30 day free returns. If he said he wanted to return this because the wrong model was sent, I'd assume he ordered the wrong one...he meant to order the PS30 but ordered the PS10 by mistake (or perhaps he actually thought his machine took a PS10 when he ordered, and only discovered later that it required a PS 30.) Either way, I'd accept the return and because I have free returns, I'd be paying the return shipping. (Or, if it is a low dollar item with high shipping, I might tell him to just keep the PS10.)
I would not assume the buyer is playing games here...he made a simple mistake, and now he has ordered the correct one, so I'd send it to him and wouldn't block.
Just how I'd handle it, with my return policy.

In your case I wouldn't block him. He made a mistake, just didn't understand how your listing is set-up. I personally would sell them individually instead of grouping them all together. Some buyers are just not that smart.

If you look at the listing, it's pretty hard to make a mistake.

I agree with your last statement. 😉

I would not block since he came back and purchased the correct one, he obviously figured things out. But I would definitely report for abuse of the MBG and eBay would probably give a credit on return shipping under TRS protections.

We only block buyers who abuse returns, or are obvious troublemakers. If the buyer made an honest mistake and just needs to return a purchase, I doubt I'd block them. In this case, they may simply be a customer who isn't worth your time, and you can feel free to block them, but I wouldn't necessarily jump to that until I saw what they returned and what condition it was in.

I get very few returns, but I've never blocked any of my customers.
If they see you're easy to work with, they might become a repeat customer.

I guess the guy just messed up and they want to make it right by ordering the correct one
it happens and its not your fault
the listing is pretty much goof proof.
I dont really block like I used to.I check the buyers feedback left and if they are a jerk then I block
by the way your are "trending" with this item. I guess that a good thing

Although it seems obvious that the buyer should've chose the correct one, looks like the '10' is the top and they just picked that?
What about replacing those / with the word 'or' ? (if there's room; maybe makes someone think a bit more??).
