Customer buys a blade for a PS10.
I ship him a blade for PS10.
After receiving the item he starts a INAD return "wrong item sent".
Said I sent him a PS10 blade instead of a PS30 blade.
I accepted the return and paid for a return label.
I'm waiting for the item to be returned.
Before I got a chance to block him he purchases another blade, this time for a PS30.
Do you guys block customers who return?
Should I have any apprehension about his second purchase?

block! I'm curious what you will get back. The buyers used / broken blade?
Looks like you updated you're listing showing all 3 blades. Good idea!
Sellers should not be punished for buyers' ignorance and that is what I see.

If he turned around and bought the correct blade why would you want to block him? I see no reason at all to do so. He obviously realized he mad a mistake and did not use the drop down menu to choose the correct one.

@josephb555 wrote:You should definitely block him. It seems odd that he would order a second item from you right after he complained about the first item.
Why would it seem odd if a person bought the wrong one, figured his mistake and then bought the correct one? What seems odd is you think the person should not have bought the correct on.

Yes. I would have blocked the buyer same time doing a return. I am not in the business of sending items on approval. You are basically sending items on approval.

I say he made a mistake. Probably bought the blade using his cell phone while driving and yelling at his kids in the back seat. I would sell these 3 blades as 3 different auctions. Too many buyers make these stupid mistakes. Just in case, before you ship it out, email and ask them if this Blade 30(forgot the whole #) is the correct one.

I don't like, & don't use, variation listings just for this reason. This wouldn't have happened with a separate listings for each type of blade.
I very rarely buy from variation listings myself.
I wouldn't block the buyer.

Normally, no I do not. As a sometimes buyer on here I've made a mistake with ordering the wrong size ink cartridge for my printer. I worked with the seller to return it and get the right one and I'm still buying from them years later. Mistakes happen.
However, I have blocked the last 3 returns that I've gotten because it is an Amazon seller that is abusing the ebay return policy under several id's here. How do I know he's abusing it? Because he is using my photos and listings on Amazon and selling exactly what I have.

I respect your opinion. Most sellers on Ebay like myself also have fulltime jobs and were not major retail chains with thousands of employee's to take care of returns . etc. It becomes an issue where returns turn into major losses not only from a monetary value but also time.

What wasting said.
He obviously made a mistake when he selected from the drop down but expecting you to pay for return shipping for HIS error rather than own it is block worthy.
Although I'd block AFTER I sent him the correct one.

Buyer clearly didn't order the correct blade. Buyer literally needs to select the blade choice in the listing, as it doean't default on one. Buyer had to actively choose an item, and chose the wrong one. Buyers fault.
Return reason, buyer's abusing the system. Not a buyer I would want to sell to in the future. Clearly they wanted a PS30. I would complete the sale of the PS30 and block after that. At least use the profit of the new sale to recover the loss on the shipping both ways. Can't imagine they will come back and say "Wrong Item sent, I wanted a PS40" now.
I guess this just comes with the territory

I only block them if the buyer has done something wrong. If the item gets lost or damage in transit, that isn't the buyer's fault, so I make them whole and look forward to their return. Most of the time the buyer's return a few times and never another issue. Some INADs might be for good reason too. So I take it case by case. I more try to turn it around to getting a repeat customer and that usually works out well for me.
Buyer Remorse Returns are another thing if they improperly file them so I have to pay return shipping. Those really annoy me.

I find that so odd.
As long as it's the item you're looking for at the right price from a reputable seller, why would the fact that it's a variations listing make you not want to buy it?

My buyers tend to buy more from a Variation listing. They by other colors, or shapes or whatever the listing has in variations.

I suppose they don't trust themselves enough to make the proper selection on a variation listing?... I mean what other reason could there be?...
Still mindboggling to me.
