OMG! I don't think any of the blues are going to be able to satisfy this guy. One more for the BBL.

what does this mean exactly and why would the buyer ever say "YES" if UPSP delivers 7+ days later than estimated delivery date
I see the 3 ways it will not effect....but this one has me baffled

So, I found this very interesting today, while leaving feedback for a recent purchase.

I guess that's a good thing if they are extending the estimated delivery dates, even though they are late doing it?

well, if the carrier missed all the scans, the seller would be saved by this one.

You think that's odd ... I have incoming packages with a Guaranteed Delivery of the 16th. I clicked on the feedback button and it has the question about arriving on time and shows an Estimated delivery date of the 22nd. Odd, but at least it's not harmful to sellers since it's padding the date on the FB forum.
Now if only eBay would pad the actual ETDs we might all have an easier time holding our heads above water right now.

So tell me again how sellers are protected???
Sellers have three ways in which to avoid the Late Shipment Defect.
1. The package is scanned received by your carrier during your handling time stated on the listing purchased from.
OR
2. The package gets received within the ETA window stated on the purchase.
OR
3. The buyer leaves FB for the seller and checks the box saying the item was received on time.
I am doomed...have 6 or 7 out there floating...all but 1 much later than stated ETA. They were all scanned as I always get receipt but won't matter because limited to no movement.....
(so I have 1 of the 3 ways in which to avoid the Late Shipment Defect outlines) .... I am doomed to failure.

I guess that wasn't the point of my earlier post. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that. I was just relating my recent experience leaving feedback for an item that was late.

bottom line if a buyer wants to be "not understanding" and give you less than five stars for your shipping, or even negative feedback for your shipping even though not your fault, ebay will not do a thing, they will tell you "the negative feedback is the buyers opionion of the transaction and if they feel it was negative we cannot remove your feedback, you can send them a request asking them to revise it" i had to create a new ebay account as a seller because i was getting negatives for things that werent my fault.

You mean like these feedback comments?

@ogaugeminiaturefigures wrote:Not for me. I saw this train wreck coming last month and closed up Dec 1st. Not only do they (eBay) not
get the extra 5% they are getting NOTHING from me. Of course I'm getting nothing also but this shipping
is now a nightmare.
I have zero issue getting my local PO to scan my packages. It usually isn't that difficult to get them to do this as they know it is part of their jobs. Your local postmaster will work with you if you are having an issue. If for some reason that doesn't work for you, go to the website and file a complaint. That works well in my experience.
I'm seeing no "train wreck" in regards to the concerns about late shipment defects. I ship a whole lot of packages every week and my current stat in this category is ZERO on my Seller Dashboard.

That was my post you are quoting from not @pburn .
I don't understand, why are you doomed? If you are meeting option one, you don't have to worry about getting a late shipment defect on your dashboard. I don't understand why you think you are "doomed", it makes no sense to me. You should not be having any problem with this stat on your Dashboard if your carrier is scanning when they pick up your packages and if you are shipping within your stated handling time.
Options 2 or 3 would not apply for you if you meet option 1.

Oh, gees! Thanks! I was definitely confused by the reply . . .

Well so is @timesgoneby2018 apparently. I think they think they have to comply with all 3 when what I wrote clearly says OR. Any ONE of the three points is enough to comply with the shipping on time task.

Yes, I have to admit I was confused and did not see the "Or" In the statement. LOL....lack of sleep should be no excuse.
Retracting my Doomed statement 😁. I am just riding along this bumpy rode. Happy Holiday all!
