Community Poll 2 : is GTC Good or Bad for your Business? After a month what are your thoughts?

Just a simple poll for the Community.

Do you think the GTC format is beneficial for your current eBay needs?

IF eBay gave you a choice???? 

Would you have said Yes or No to a GTC format?  This is a simple yes or  no question.

This was a very interesting poll posted about two weeks ago.  My sales are down approximately 40% from last month and I feel the GTC policy is the primary reason.     In my opinion It creates a lot more work/time to manage and takes a way the "sense of urgency" from potential buyers.  I feel is it horrible for small/mid size sellers and will result in additional fees if sellers are not  very careful. 

Now that it's approaching a month since it was made the only fixed price option to sellers, what is your opinion?

Don't feel sorry, its surely not your fault or mine or other sellers, just the greed of eBay, the ones that make millions and don't sell on eBay to make ends meet.

GTC listings have been very bad for my business.  Sales have dropped but I have a super big watcher list, that really doesn't mean too much.  I feel the Ebay should not say that we have to sell our items the way they tell us too and we have no choice.  You slowed my business and I have no say in my own business.  Ebay is the same as Government Control that we as a free nation don't want.  Just keep adding rules without the says of the Ebay sellers is like a slap in the face.  We were happy as it was to list our items the way we made the choice but no Ebay says we have to use the GTC way and no other way on fixed listings.  If I wanted to use the auction way I would have been doing it that way.  Give us our business back Ebay and stop forcing rules on us that we don't like and do not work for our business.  You have killer us really wanting to add more items to our site.  Why list more, there are not selling.  We want to run our business the way we want to.  I have many years super success in running different businesses and just don't need your forced rule policy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO. I HATE IT. ILL CHOSE WHEN I WANT TO LIST. I HAVEN`T SOLD ANYTHING IN 4 DAYS. EITHER EBAY QUITS OR I CLOSE MY STORE OF 12 YEARS. HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Means I don't have to relist. But then I lose track of which ones were on the £1 final value fee. Of course to use those offers means ending them to list on the offers. My head aches !

Sales are down to a third of what they were. I often used to time my sales for pay day and bank holidays so I have really missed out this May. So overall I am disappointed with the enforced 30 day system as I always used to list for 10 days.

Yes, I agree the same for my listings. GTC I tried it years ago when I was selling maybe 1 year on ebay so it would be easier and then switched back to the 30 Day listings. We have different items for sale in different stores. Sales have been bad in all stores so sadly we decided by the end of this month we going to close two stores. It has been slow with sales and lots of work to keep up so listing don't relist when we out of our free store listing.We changed listings,lowered the prices we even offered free shipping and a 2 week return policy it did not change anything in our sales. So we switched it back and now we going to close 2 stores. Good Luck all Sellers.

Great for large stores. Bad for small sellers like me, especially if your one of a kind item was sold and got automatic relisted. A second buyer will cause the seller to receive a case and negative for seller items not available.

So sad to loose you. You sound like a very nice seller. I see many stores are closing too. I don't have a store but many of my items had to be taken away to avoid being relisted again. Lots had watchers and lost those buyers. Was too close to been relisted. Good Luck and Bless you.
