Welcome to our first engagement post of 2021! We plan to post a fun off-topic thread every two weeks so we can learn more about one another. After two weeks, we’ll post a new fun topic.

Our first topic is pets (how could it be anything else?) 😀 We know we have a lot of avid pet owners and it certainly brightens our days to see you share stories and pictures about them.

This is your chance to tell us all about your pets’ quirks, personalities and most importantly, sharing lots of pictures. We want to see those cute little faces.

As always please keep the conversation on topic and be respectful of each other. This thread will remain open from 1.29.2020 to 2.11.2021.

@silverstatetreasureboxes Coincidentally, Rock Springs is my home town. I did not know the Quality Inn was the place to go though 😝

Quality Inn in Rock Springs is the place to go if you travel with dogs, it's older but clean, happy hour and a big breakfast spread and AAA. But the area for dogs is large and fluffy green grass and they keep it up, my Buds loves it! It's across from the Holiday Inn express.

The worst place to travel with dogs? Wisconsin. All hotels there hate our babies seems like...they would probably take Cows but not dogs!

Rescues can be challenging but with some love and effort and patience, it will be worth it.

When I 1st adopted Buds in 2011, he had been abused, kicked going out the door and eventually he ran away. I admit he was difficult as I had another Bichon at the time who was old. Buds was very aggressive, distant and scared. A couple of weeks went by and I seen no change and I almost gave him back to WCFA but I didn't.

My mom told me to work with him and that buds may turn out to be the best dog I've ever had. So I did, and found that he was extremely intelligent. He learned new words daily, "Stay" commands and " nappy hour" and of course " lunch"!

Every dog has their own personality and quirks and I have never forgotten my two other beloved Bichons before Buds and remember cute little things they used to do also.

I think rescued animals are so grateful and happy to be loved finally without fear as " mommies little fella" is here!

she's a lab/boxer mix...when i adopted her, they estimated she was 9 months. by that early age she already had 2 major surgeries to fix injuries due to abuse (reconstructed paw and back surgery to fuse vertebrae)--and had been adopted once and returned after 2 weeks...doesn't let that stuff get her down, though--she's the most pleasant, playful companion a person ask for. she's my baby...lol

Well Jack she is delightful as all of these adorable pets!

I truly believe there is a place that is not so pleasant for all those animal abusers that our fur babies had to put up with before they found their forever home with us!

I've enjoyed it as well but I think I might have to add a couple more critters.

Yesterday, a bunny came into our garage or hubs man cave. She just sat there looking around. Today a roadrunner came into our garage as well! Can't wait until tomorrow...or can I?

Group photo from class this morning. Enjoyed a visit to a local coffee shop to work on our "out in public skills". Chloe and I both did well out in public lol
