Did you mean:

Buyers not seeing item description unless they click the link for item description.

This is about the absolute worst thing ebay has ever done.. I can not tell you how many things i have sold that i have had to return because the buyer buys it, and did not see the description..  That should be the absolute first thing they see about the item.. Why is ebay hiding the description now, and making it to where the buyer has to scroll down to a link to see the description, this is horrendous to sellers.   THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED.   I have tons of potential buyers asking questions that are clearly listed in my description, and they are not seeing this.   How can ebay do this, this is just wrong.

On phone or computer?

Been this way for over a decade for the phone

For computer, buyer does need to scroll past all the 'other peoples' items before they get to the description; but- it's the nature of humans now a days to NOT try to 'read' about an item; especially an item they have NEVER seen on a store shelf in their life.

I really don't know why people don't want to 'read' about an item unless it's an "ABC Bag of Socks" they already know about....

My 'last' return was for a 10pc Kit that CLEARLY showed the 10 pieces ON the car and the 10 Pieces OFF the car; yet buyer said "I thought I was getting a 10 piece Kit" ???

Moral of this story: people don't understand 15 word Titles or look at pictures. I guess they just blindly buy things and hope for the best?

That behavior is only on the mobile device version.  I assume it's a space-saving factor, as many sellers choose to bloat their descriptions with pages of 'terms and conditions' so was likely a design choice to keep that unnecessary bloat under control.

That said, keep in mind that buyers still won't read descriptions no matter what anyway.  We can barely get buyers to read the TITLEs.  🙂

Take those 'stupid questions that are easily answered in the title/description' as opportunities to show your customer service skills.  Give some tips on using the cart, how to combine multiple purchases for savings on shipping, or any sales or specials you are running.

I have to hunt amidst the clutter for the description link on that stupid app - this is not a problem with any of the other platform apps I sell on. Not a great buyer experience.
