I understand that it says we need to wait 4 days but is there any way around this. I really wanted to sell this item quickly and the buyer isn’t responding. It was an offer that I countered with, which they accepted but have not paid nor responded to any messages. Would it be possible to just cancel and put out of stock and just relist?? Thanks

The test phase is still active--or, according to this thread, it was still active on 12/13/2021, anyway.

In my case, I go ahead and send the following message, "I can only hold this item for 48 hours for non payment, if payment is not received within this time frame, it will be relisted."
I don't cancel the sale, but wait for the 4 days to be over. But in the mean time, I repost the item for sale within 48 hours, but at a higher price. If non payer, makes the payment, I go ahead and "End Listing".
Be very careful listing a second time before the full 72 hours is up; if you wind up selling the second listing and the original buyer manages to send payment before the deadline or before you notice and cancel, you could wind having to cancel and refund as out of stock for a defect, and then receiving a negative on top of that.

NO! DO NOT SEND AN INVOICE! If you send an invoice, the four-day clock for cancellation is reset, and you have to start all over again time-wise.
That is bad advice for a unpaid transaction!

You've just asked, "Would it be possible to just cancel and put out of stock and just relist??"
What in the world happened that helped you to make up your mind? ^^^ Did you do this?? ^^^

Thanks for the advice. I have experience that if some one does not pay within 24 hours he/she will not pay. I have not encounter as of yet, several people buy the same thing. As far as negative feedback, I can get it removed.

Some users know full well they have four days to pay, and are quite willing to wait until the last minute.
If the seller cancels early citing "problem with buyer's address" or "buyer requested cancellation" some of those buyers are likely to complain to eBay about the seller using an illegitimate reason for cancellation. And if the seller uses the "out of stock" reason, the seller receives a transaction defect.

Actually 4 days is 96 hours.

Of course, I believe the OP has already waited 24 hours leaving 72 hours remaining. 😉

I have a vague recollection of the following scene, from what I do not recall:
Someone who is impersonating an aristocrat is stepping out of a horse drawn coach and introducing himself as the thirteenth earl of such-and-such.
The host is puzzled: "But surely you must be the fourteenth earl?"
The reply: "It has been rather a long journey and I... may have miscounted."

eBay isn’t a great place for sellers that are desperate for quick cash.

Send the buyer a sternly written message to "Hurry up and pay already. Come on slowy. Chop Chop!"

I'm pretty sure that doing as you suggest is not going to produce the desired effect the OP is looking for.
