Dear friends, I have a basic store and I am thinking to upgrade to premium. The only reason is to have more listings so I can be able to keep re listing the items until they sell..I know the fee is high, 60$ per month, so it is a risk but I was thinking you also have more possibilities to sell when you keep relisting.
Any suggestions , are any Premium store members that reading my message satisfied with this subscription ?
If yes, when is the best day for me to upgrade? Last day of the month or first ?
i was 2 h today on the phone with customers service but still I didn't get the answer.
i will appreciate your answers.

BEFORE upgrading, I "would require" myself to use ALL the free listings you have for the basic every month.......even if you don't like auctions....as others have said...... IF you can handle that, on a consistent basis....you have a good start on handling 1000 listings.......
And IF you have the inventory to support it, try to list more expensive items rather than the $9.99 or less stuff with free shipping........"lots" of sales are nice, but when you actually figure your profit on a $10 item with free shipping....???? compared to selling $15 and up stuff.......
I guess I'm suggesting you try to figure ways to "work smarter" before upgrading.....and then if that works, I think you will "know" when to upgrade rather than questioning whether to do it......

Let's Review.... You have a store, I don't. You pay monthly fees X 12 for your store, I don't. You have a few hundred + listings, I only have 70. You are a TRS, so am I. You get a 20% discount on FVFs, So do I. You need to work your store Daily, I check on my listings twice a day, Do other things the rest of the day. upgrading only means more fees for you, Not me. Nobody needs an eBay store here to make money. Sure, you may Gross more then me, but pay 3 times the fees I do. Stay where you are at Basic store, Request a higher selling Limit, No need to give more of your hard earned money. Good Luck to you.

Agreed - I meant to downgrade this year and let the deadline slip - I have a premium store and it is a lot of work - only do it if you can reasonably list and sell enough to justify it. I will be busier this year than last year with grandchildren and may not have time to devote to it - but a premium store means more work.
Again, only do it if you can keep up with your listings and justify the cost. Be prepared to invest much more time and effort to make it work. That $60 is just your basic fee - add your FVF, shipping costs, Paypal, etc and it will be $200 before you know it.

Anyone who want's to run / own a business will work twice as hard as a person with a real Job. When you're young, it's all about that money, But as you age, Life itself is more Important. I Took my life back, closed the store, Then went to the Casino to play slots. Their's more to life then eBay.

Thank you , I appreciate and you are right. I already pay too many fees and not sure if I earn anything but I am mainly doing it as hobby. As you said, will be 200$ before you know it.
I tried to increased the listings today but told me I have to upgrade the store in order to do it.
How many listings can you get for free if you don't have a shop?
You get 50 free per month without a store. What are your sales for the last 5 months? Are you selling over 50% of what you list?

Your sell-through rate is very low. Your listings history shows that you have sold 40 items in the past 90 days. How much profit did you make on those 40 items after paying for 3 months of store subscriptions?

Are you sure you have not hit your limit for listings/sales for the month? You should not have to upgrade your store to add more listings as Ebay allows you to add additional listings at $.20 each with a basic store. Ebay even has a fee estimator to see if it would be cheaper to list some items at the per item rate or if you should upgrade to the next store size.
Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are saying but from what I get out of your statement you should not have to upgrade to a premium store to list more items at this point in time. There are actually many sellers who list 350 or so items a month with the basic store because that also gives them the freedom to not have to list that many every month. If you upgrade to a premium store you have up to 1000 fixed price listings a month and another 500 auction style a month in collectibles (not sure what you sell). Are you going to be listing enough items each month to justify $60 a month?
Also you may want to look at creating another selling account where you can have another 50 free listings a month as that may be all you really need.
Hope this helps somewhat.

I do not have a store. I use eBay's free Turbo Lister program to maintain my listings (about 5,000 of them) in a local database on my computer, so I never have to worry about losing the work I put into them.
With one selling account, my 50 free items a month, and whatever listing specials I receive, every year I manage to list between 350 and 5000 items a year. That's an average of ~300 items per month with zero store subscription fees and zero insertion fees.
But unfortunately, Turbo Lister is going away and the replacement that eBay has promised is nowhere to be found.
