If your competitor’s buyers had a problem with the dirty parts they received, they would leave a negative feedback.

Most of us buyers know to look at the listing carefully to spot the bad actors, but if we miss one (and it does happen) then there is always the MBG.

I'm confused.
You're complaining about feedback and a photo someone left for your competitor?

Pardon me, but I do not understand your complaint.
Maybe you don't exactly understand how auto FB works.
If there appear to be no issues between buyer and seller, but the buyer leaves no FB, eBay gives the auto FB.
If buyers find that the seller has bad business practices, they have the right to leave negatives.
Aren't you proud of your 100% FB?

Where do you pick your parts ? I thought about going down to peekapart and strip some cars but I can't seem to leave my recliner. You would think most interiors are trashed at the junkay yards. Walking long rows to find some uncommon parts would seem like fun though. I still have my dealership blues clothing that I haven't worn in 20 years. Jaguar Greens too
Reminiscing when I was young and agile and fast. Today I turn a very slow wrench.

Unfortunately it's not uncommon that some seller's gain an unfair or unjust advantage for themselves when selling on ebay , more buyers need to undertake appropriate action.
Let's hope that will happen

I understand your frustrations, but at the end of the day, your 'spotless' parts and consistent photos are your best insurance. While they might hide a negative comment, they can’t hide a high return rate or a high 'Item Not As Described' count forever. Those metrics eventually catch up to sellers who hide stains or damage. Keep doing what you’re doing, high-volume buyers, especially in your niche, look for sellers exactly like you because they can’t afford the downtime of receiving a dirty or broken part.

No. OP is complaining that his competitor takes bad photos of their dirty unclean auto parts and the buyers don’t leave them a negative so automated feedback kicks in and gives them a positive.
And it’s not fair to OP because he spends time clean his auto parts to look pristine and takes immaculate photos of them.

Thanks for explaining.
In that case, that's ridiculous.
Concentrate on yourself and the good service you provide.
If your competitor provides poor service, it will eventually catch up to him.

Why worry about what other sellers do? Focus on your business. I get competitors or buyers who contact me and if they need extras as in pictures or to clean an item off I do it whatever is needed. I never worry about what other feedback sellers get.

If he is not getting negatives, his parts must work, even though they are dirty. I guess it depends on the part. If its a engine part, does it matter if it is dirty. If a visible part like for an interior, that would certainly matter. Maybe the time he/she saves by not cleaning is translated into lower prices. idk

You have glowing feedbacks and your customers are obviously happy with you, your listings and your service. Why are you so obsessed about your competition?
A lot of people are scared of clowns.

I'm sure you realize you have received 130 automated positive feedbacks. Do you feel the same about some of those?

"While they might hide a negative comment . . ."
No one is hiding any negative comments, If/when a seller has not received feedback from a seller after a few days, and it appears to eBay that the transaction was satisfactory, that's when eBay leaves an automated positive feedback. If that buyer was unhappy with his transaction, he could have left a negative or opened a case per the MBG.
