It appears that shortly it will be possible to leave 5 pictures when you leave feedback.
Buyers, of course, can already leave negative feedback for a seller. The pictures can simply reinforce that negativity,
BUT we all know that sellers can not leave negative feedback for a buyer so they try positive feedback with a negative comment. Usually does not work out well for the seller. Judging by the posts on these boards there are certainly buyers who various sellers believe deserve negative feedback. Scams, fraudulent returns, repeated bidders who never pay, etc. You know the ones.
The cynic in me says that there are those who will try to use the pictures to make a negative point. An upside down flag for example, a universal sign of distress. Picture of an empty box suggesting that is what the return turned into. A frowning emoji. Well you get the idea.
Going to be fun to watch. I wonder how many sellers will put their foot in it. 'Cause I've got to figure eBay will be monitoring it.

BAD BAD BAD ON HERE.

It’s also risky for the seller. Another risk factor in this largely risk taking adventure.

I have zero interest in looking at any photos these buyers leave on other sites after the sale. What a waste of resources.

So they want the buyers to leave bad pictures on the sellers page of the item these sellers so meticulously photographed to look like they look and then have other buyers looking at these bleep pictures. What the heck are they thinking. I see these buyer left photos on other sites and they look like poop. Really helps future sales. What a complete joke.

So what you call ebay and have the picture removed. Yeah right.

@my-cottage-books-and-antiques I'm not seeing any announcements or even any mention of it in any of the help or policy pages for UK.
I would hope eBay will be putting some additional seller protections in place and/or have a review and appeal process specifically for this but my guess is they may treat it just like the current feedback removal process - if the images violate the image policy or otherwise might qualify for removal, you'll have to report it to CS and be at their mercy as to whether they determine if it should stay up or not.

Stupid. No good can come of this.

You know I am about at least a 200,000 a year customer, one of their so called high value customers, on here between my selling and buying. That may be chump change on here but this along with the slow sales this year is really racking my nerves. How much more control can they take away from sellers on here before they get just fed up.

I don't think that many buyers will use it as they won't take the time to take the pics and post them. So it is likely just to be buyers that are ticked off for one reason or another that will be willing to take the time for the process.

Put me in the camp of: Why?
Photos are for product reviews. Not needed for FB, especially when one has a lengthy 500 characters to make their point.

this is just opening another possible fraud game and sellers moving to other sites!
1. Buyer just trying to ruin a seller's feedback and profile. Possibly for revenge and using another buyer I.D.
2. This just opens more fraud when buyers are buying to replace their item that is damaged or stained.
3. How will eBay manage these buyers, their address or multiple addresses, their multiple bank accounts, and their eBay activity to protect the seller?
4. The buyer has the option to open a case for refund or partial, but to give them an option to possibly post fake / altered photos in feedback that take 12 months to remove is just a bad idea for eBay's future.
I'm sure more could be added to this, but these are just a few thoughts.

Yeah, it won't be removed after 12 months. It'll just drop off the tally at the top of the FB page. The FB & photos will still be there if one pages through comments.

Didn’t I read somewhere that some sellers were able to get negs removed because the comment was merely a product review?

Will there be an easy way to report inappropriate pictures in feedback? Someone leaves a picture of text to tell a seller off, what about a porn picture to kill a seller's sales, so many inappropriate pictures could be uploaded and shown even before being reported/removed.
This is not a well-thought-out idea imho. Just NO.
