I have had hardly any sales for the past week and have over 9,000 items listed, with great feedback. Not sure what is going on?

I was on vacation and had my away settings on for 8 days..had 9 sales. I have been back since Sunday and have not had one. Don’t feel alone.

Sales are down for everyone, I had my worst month EVER in September, so obviously, no one is buying. It's partly the Economy & the upcoming elections may have something to do with it, who knows what will happen if Trump gets in. Christmas is coming, so sales should improve slowly over the next couple of months.

Hurricanes are slowing sales on the east coast and down south.

=people have been saying the “economy” for months…however people are spending money like crazy. The election could be a possibility, and sadly we know these horrible hurricanes have had a terrible effect on everyone.

was hoping for a fall RUSH but it turned out a Bust so far. 1/4 of the country is under emergency, and lots of people donating or aiding. on top of everything else it appears people are changing spending habits. i still get a few mails asking for 30-60% off a item daily, so people ARE looking. then again this is just me experience

100% agree and been saying that on various other selling forums. People are still spending whether they can afford it or not.
I have items listed here listed on other platforms that sell. I get users who message me saying they couldn't find the item here despite typing at least 3 keywords I have in the title.
eBay's whole platform is screwed, but we have the resident users on the eBay forum who try to say otherwise.
I am waiting for InHawaii to respond with his Vin Scully commentary on the landscape of eBay and economy.
It is always refreshing to hear what the poster says, very enlightening.

I mean no disrespect but if you have 9,000 items listed and no sales for a week, you need to seriously make some changes.

They sold items on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th of October..........not sure why they posted that it's been a week

Looks like you mainly sell sports collectables so your customer base is probably pretty small.

You got that right, I spend money like crazy every time I pay utilities, buy food, buy gas and lumber.

Hopefully customers are holding out for the Holidays & we will get a surge in sales starting soon!

How many is "hardly any", and how many sales would you usually get in a week?
Based on sold items, I'm seeing 20+ sales in the last week.

I think with the need to purchase % promotions it has affected alot of sellers business. Also alot of sellers selling items at prices where they are basically making nothing/negative on selling the item. Ebay takes more $$$ with promotions from the sellers unlike in the past. When promotions started I knew it was going to drive up competition because the percentages keep going up and thus net sales will go down. Also with the IRS now making you claim net sales over 600.00 and some states wanting it too alot of people are dumping stuff to take a loss and reduce their net income to claim after costs.
