At least a year ago, I wondered if watchers got any kind of notice when the seller dropped the price for the item they're watching. I figured if so, then a full revision of the price is just as effective to get the item sold as making offers to watchers, and with the benefit of keeping payment immediately required, as opposed to having the item held hostage by one watcher accepting the offer just to stop anyone else from getting it, but then taking their sweet time to pay (or never paying). Also I feel that if I'm at the point of accepting less for an item, then I might as well lower the price for everyone who finds the listing, not just the watchers. I asked this question somewhere (it's been so long now I can't remember where; could have just been in a Youtube comment thread for all I know) and somebody (?) said YES, watchers do get notified about non-exclusive price drops. So I just thought YIPPEE! But now I suspect whoever told me that was incorrect. I watch lots of items and I don't recall ever getting a notice of a price drop. Also, I occasionally when I need to bump my sales I go ahead and bite the bullet, send offers to watchers for a bunch of items, and usually about a quarter of those offers get accepted same-day (sometimes in just a few minutes). But I rarely (if ever) get such an instant success from reducing a price, even when the item has lots of watchers. So I'm thinking there is no watcher notification, or if there is, then it's a less-aggressive format than when they receive offers from sellers, like maybe an email (possibly auto-sent to a folder they don't check often), rather than a noise and popup on their phones.
