File Exchange - "Error - Input data for tag <Item.AutoPay> is invalid or missing.

Hi,

I am seeing the following error when I try to import variations:

"Error - Input data for tag <Item.AutoPay> is invalid or missing. Please check API documentation.|Item.AutoPay|"

I have looked around no info on this error appears anywhere!  Cannot find this field in any of the file exchange documentation, not of the category templates downloaded!

Can anyone give me a clue on this?

Can you share this csv file for download? It might shed some light...

Re: File Exchange - "Error - Input data for tag <Item.AutoPay> is invalid or missing.

Something changed, even if eBay wont admit it. Files that worked a data prior, and for a year prior suddenly stopped working.  Support had me rename Location to PostalCode. They also had me remove every unused column. Still didn't work.  Every change just changed the data field that needed attention (first AutoPay, then ListingType, then StoreCategory.  Today out of the blue I got an email to change my date format. It was fine coming out of Google Sheets previously, same as used for last two years (yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss format) without issue. I now have to edit the CSV outputted by Google Sheets and re-input the date, it then finally takes the files again. Previously if there was a date issue, the results file would state a date issue.  If this was truly a date issue, the current errors do not reflect it (autopay, etc). Again, something changed, these files worked a day prior, eBay just wont say what it is because both support and I were chasing errors, not applying a fix.

Hi All,

I'm sorry to hear you are all having trouble with your uploads.

We're currently working through an issue causing these errors to populate, but you can get around them right now by doing the following:

  • Remove all blank columns from the file, including any that came in a template.
  • If you are using ImmediatePayRequired=1, and are not enrolled in Managed Payments, ensure your file has both PayPalAccepted and PayPalEmailAddress filled out.
  • If you are using ImmediatePayRequired=1, and are enrolled in Managed Payments, add this data to your file
    • Header: AutoPay
    • Value: true

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes, we're working on getting it fixed long-term, but this should get you up and running for now.

Hi John, this does not get me up and running for now. This managed payments thing has caused a whole lot of mess. This workaround doesn't work and I need to get listings on by midnight tonight and I cannot see it happening even though ebay have had 3 days to sort this.

Deleting columns with no inputs fixed the issue for us. Thank you.

Hi All,

The issue causing the AutoPay and other errors was corrected earlier today, if you continue seeing errors on your uploads, you would want to troubleshoot normally.

@elitetires Glad to hear it!

@Anonymous I'm sorry that fix didn't work for you, there shouldn't be issues with it anymore.
