my item said no returns... whats the point if they can still return it? I had ten pictures
i have to pay $40 in shipping now and i had a seller with more money than her in person that i declined because my $600 trumpet would surely get more than $80 but it sold for $80 and they want a refund on a $600 trumpet and ebay will side with them right???
i will Probably cancel my account after this

When a buyer sees "no returns," even if there's nothing wrong with the item, they may think they need a reason to return it so they may (or may not) lie and claim it's not as described.
If you don't accept the return and pay return shipping, the buyer will ask ebay to step in and they'll issue a refund to the buyer and they even let the buyer keep the trumpet for free. Plus, your account will get a huge ding because you didn't resolve the complaint appropriately.
Take the return, issue the refund and resell the instrument again. For such a low price, you shouldn't have any trouble finding another buyer.

A No Return policy is worthless when the buyer files an INAD, which overrules your No Returns.

Not everything shows up in photos.
Could be a ding, scratch or dent they found not mentioned or shown in photos.
Or they just didn't like it and didn't want to pay return shipping.

Yes, that does happen sometimes.

Even with over 500,000 transactions I rarely get a return.
I also allow returns on my item

i must be doing something wrong then, check my item maybe if you can

^^^ Valid thought. Maybe the buyer will use it, like it and want to keep it. 🤞

do i just let them return it or do nothing?

You don't want to do nothing. If you do nothing, ebay will refund the buyer from your funds, they won't have to return the item, and you will get a seller defect on your account.

It's best to accept the return. I know it sucks, but ebay thinks every buyer has a golden halo, no matter how horribly dishonest some are.
