Sold an item, seller asked for a return but has not returned

I sold an item, Seller asked for a refund and return.  Money refunded but item not returned.  I can't anyone at eBay to pay attention.  What should I do?  Thanks.

Nothing you can do money is lost. You have them return then refund

Did you initiate the refund, or did something else happen?   Did the buyer file a claim or return request with ebay or just ASK you?   More details would be helpful.

   In the future, wait for the item to be returned FIRST, and in a condition acceptable to you, THEN refund. As of right now, you will probably never see the item again, unless the buyer is honest and actually returns it.

If you already refunded, there's nothing you can do if they won't ship it back.

Always wait to refund until the item is returned.

There was a case opened on ebay........for a return........you have a choice of refunding or having item returned and then refunding......you have to chose one or the other.  If you simply refunded outside the case......you are "depending on the honesty of the buyer" to return and you aren't giving him a prepaid return label.......which would happen in the case IF you chose to have it refunded.

There is nothing you can do other than sending your buyer a message asking them to return the item. I don't expect your buyer to respond to your message or to return the item.

Your trusting nature will only be appreciated by a % of good honest buyers and other will do what your buyer has done by not returning the item as he has been refunded.

Never ever issue a refund when you want the item to be returned until such time that you receive the item and then refund through the return case.

I just hope this was not an expensive mistake.

The others have posted good info so I'll just add; I looked at your sold items and while very nice, they're not common items purchased by scammers..

Perhaps a note reminding your buyer to return, as they've been refunded and offering to provide a paid return label could result in a return.

It doesn't hurt to ask..

Never give a refund without receiving the item back. Unfortunately there are a lot of unscrupulous buyers out there who will claim that something is wrong hoping to get the item for free.
