Seller not picking up return at PO Box, does not show as delivered.

I returned an item to a seller with the return shipping label ebay provided. It has been sitting in the seller's PO Box for days now "awaiting to be picked up". The returned item does not show up as being delivered on the tracking because of this. The seller already tried to weasel their way out of having to take the item back, so I am guessing they think if they don't pick it up I won't be refunded.

So what happens?

@cookie64   once the time-line thresholds have been met on the return case, click on the 'ask ebay to step in' button

You'll be refunded. As @stuff4divas advises... keep an eye on the case timeline in case the seller doesn't react.

There is no option to have ebay step in anymore. I already had to do that to get the return approved in the first place. It says the return is closed because I had ebay step in and it says to check the details of the case, which show the tracking and I will get a refund 2 days after it shows as delivered. But its not showing as delivered because the seller will not pick it up! So how do I get ebay to give me my refund?

Yes, until tracking shows DELIVERED, your escalated return request @cookie64 will remain stalled for 240 hours (10 days) when it will automatically close without a refund.

Instead, leave a private message here for eBay on Facebook (or open an account just to contact eBay) and tell eBay that the return is AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP, and eBay will step in again to require that refund.

@cookie64    Getting returns approved does not require the buyer to click on the 'ask ebay to step in' button.

this  is to suppose to be used only 'after' the seller does not fulfill their obligations spelled out in the case.

Now you will have to contact ebay >

Click on > https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4002&st=10

On chat: type in ’agent’ to get a live person instead of a bot

AND-OR

Click on receive a call back: depending on how busy they are will depend on length of time for your call back

Make sure your phone will not block the call back

AND-OR

Contact eBay via their social media sites with a private message:

https://Facebook.com/ebay

 AND-OR

https://Twitter.com/askebay

Great customer service on both
