I'm tired of even trying to contact anyone at ebay. Now I just want to rant.
The buyer requested a return and refund. I issued a full refund for the set of purchased DVD's still in original shrink wrap. Upon receiving the return I discovered that not only were the DVD's no longer in the shrink wrap, but several of them were now scratched, precluding me from reselling them "Like New".
I reported this through ebay's automated system. I received my reply today. ebay charged my credit card for the buyer's return shipping label.
I was under the assumption that the buyer pays return shipping. Am I wrong?

If the buyer filed a not as described case, the seller is responsible for return shipping. If you have free returns, you can deduct part of the refund on damaged items returned.

Yes. The DVDs you "watched once" are not "Like New" so your listing was already Not As Described, unfortunately.

They were sent unopened shrinkwrap. Seller never watched them. Buyer sent back damaged discs.
You can write-off the damaged item on taxes - confirm with accoutant, but it doesn't really help.
This is where Ebay does not support sellers. Are they tracking this buyer - no doubt the buyer will do it again and again.
