I collect TCG cards and after receiving the cards and seeing they were fake I sent them back in for a refund, it’s been a week since the seller has received the item and has not processed the refund nor replying to my messages, I was under the impression that I could click more options on the item and ask eBay to step in however this does not seem to be the case. How do I reach out to eBay to get the seller to refund me?

Did you send back the cards without opening an official eBay "Return this item" case?
If so, it is highly unlikely that you will be receiving a refund from your seller.
Without an official eBay "Return this item" case, there is NO record in the eBay system that the item(s) have been returned, and eBay can not force the seller to send you a refund.
You will find "Return this item" under "More options" -- while it is too late now for the items which you have already returned, you should use this feature to request a return in the future.

Did you open a Return Case or just send them back?

Yes I used “More options, return this item - reason: wrong item and eBay sent me the return labels and now it says I’m waiting for the seller to send me the refund

Did a return case and eBay approved the return and gave me the return labels right now it says I should of received a refund after the seller inspects the product, everytime I press more options there is no option to ask eBay to step in

Seller has 2 days after tracking shows 'item was delivered' (back to them, do you have tracking that you can check?).
Then, return to case and 'escalate to ebay' after that 48hrs has passed, ebay will refund you (and ding the seller). Be sure to:
Go to 'my ebay' and hover, then click 'purchases'. The 'return case item will be at the bottom (scroll down). Click the case, and on the case you can 'escalate to ebay'.

OK, you DID open an item not as described case with eBay, received a return label and returned the cards, right? Is there tracking proving the seller has received the return? If so, the seller has 3 days to refund. On day #4, you return to the case and request that eBay step in.

Does the tracking show delivered? And what day does it show delivered? They have 3 days (72 hours) to inspect and refund...after that you can ask for eBay to step in.

Tracking shows delivered since jan 22 it says seller is still inspecting item, refund will be processed after 5-7 days, however the option to escalate or ask eBay to step in is not coming up when I press more actions on the listing

That is weird...I wonder if the weekend days don't count in that? I always refund within an hour when a buyer returns an item so I've never really noticed.
What about on the case its self? Is the option to ask eBay to step in there?

Just spoke with an agent, I will be able to ask eBay to step in tomorrow after a full week, apparently public holidays and weekends don’t count towards the timer to ask eBay to step in

22nd was Wednesday. Seller given until Monday (2 days after delivery possibly now changed to 3 days, but has never been 5-7 days, but if you spoke to a rep, they've been known to say just about anything besides what is correct) to 'refund' so that is why you can open tomorrow.
