Everyone has been holding their breath waiting to see what is going on with the coin and bullion categories regarding managed payments. Is ebay actively working to support those categories in managed payments or will they continue to use paypal indefinitely? Is there any definitive answer on whether ebay will keep these categories or will they at some point stop allowing us to sell coins and bullion and other products not allowed in managed payments?Hi @coinslabz26, we actually addressed this back in February in our Seller Town Hall. I posted about this recently in another thread, quoted below:
"I just wanted to stop by and share the eBay Townhall from February 25th - seller's concerns with listing certain items like coins are addressed by our executives during the discussion, around the 9 minute and 44 second mark of the recording. You can find the video here:
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Seller-Town-Halls/Seller-Town-Hall-February-2020/ba-p/30672085
A member of our Community also took the time to type up a transcript of the video, which you can review here:
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Seller-Town-Hall-where-are-the-written-responses/m-p/30729047#..."
Thank you. In the typed transcript it states that
"LEVINE: And then a follow up was a couple of questions around categories that are not included [with Managed Payments] so far, like coins, tickets, gift cards. Those will all be included, this will be 100% rolled out over time, so anything that's not included currently will be included."
So this is confirmation that coins will be 100% rolled out in time?

To piggyback on my prior question about ship dates. I forgot to ask.
I am sabotaging my estimated delivery times when I ship the night before the actual ship date?
I have to prepare the packages the night before. Under normal circumstances, I leave early in the morning and just cannot get up early to ship packages in the morning. I need to get everything done the night before and then only deal with a few items in the morning that came in overnight.
I can't believe that I am the only one that needs to do this. I just do not want to get false estimated delivery dates. IT's already hard enough to get stuff delivered on time, even when I do ship early or on the day I say I will ship. (next business day)

Due to my recent changes in workflow I am now using multiple devices on multiple IP addresses to access my account. I am being forced to log in more than normal, plus I have to do the puzzle game now. Is there a workaround so I can stay logged in longer, or get hassled less when logging in? I am guessing this is genuinely working as intended, but the devices in question are all my own so I am not concerned about the security risks.Hi @gwzcomps - you're right that those are in place for security, but I'm not certain if there's a way to make them remember you for longer. Let me do some digging. I'll update you as I hear back!
I think I remember some feature for multi users on one account. Can I just pretend I am 5 employees and make myself multiple users to reduce my login headaches?
Hi @gwzcomps - sounds like you're thinking of Multi-User-Account-Access, which is a great feature but probably won't do exactly what you're looking for it to do at the moment (it's limited in scope right now so won't give you full access to the account, just read-only access to orders and the ability to list drafts, etc).
I heard back on this though - something you may consider is requesting a call from CS and asking to speak with the account security team. Explain the situation and see if there's a way for them to save your machines' profiles to your account to reduce the number of times you're asked to log in. They may not be able to do so, but that's the best bet to keep you from having to do that puzzle time after time!

a. my bank charges a fee if I have more than 10 transactions/month. If I have to print labels from my bank, and have deposits made once a week, I will way exceed that. Is there any possibility that, while funds are available midweek, labels could be printed using those funds?
b. How will refunds work if the money is not available online?a) Labels can print from your pending funds.
b) refunds will be made from pending funds if available. If not available it will go negative ($$.$$), and then the amount will be recovered from new sales. If sales do not occur to cover the ($$) it will be added to your monthly invoiced when due (per as post from eBay "Charles" on another thread.
Quote pulled from the thread where charles _payments responded to my question about when such non-available funds would be recovered by eBay stemming from a vague policy statement that it would be from the auto-payment , but without specific time when it would happen:
Refunds are pulled from funds in “Available for payout." If there’s not enough to cover the cost of a refund, the refund will still go through, and we’ll place a debit on your “Available for payout” funds until we recover the full amount.
This could cause your “available for payout” to become negative. If, after 21 days, we haven’t recovered the full amount from your available for payout funds, the outstanding balance will be added to your invoice.

@coinslabz26 wrote:Since ebay introduced the new shipping labels (with the long barcode in the upper right corner replacing the square stamp sized one) IOS device users lost the ability to print labels from their mobile devices. The barcode and letter for shipping method print blacked out.
This has been reported many, many times to @mobile_app_help and the issue seems to be very low priority. Most posts are answered with a 1 liner question before being abandoned.
Most recently the topic came up here
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Mobile-App-iOS/Problem-printing-Ebay-shipping-labels-from-iPad/m-p/309...
Pictures were posted by someone in that thread. I have also been asked to post pictures in the past too. With hurricane season starting this problem is an urgent one. In the past we have been able to go without power for a week and still manage to serve the ebay community uninterrupted thanks to the ability to print labels on a mobile device. With @mobile_app_help ignoring the issue we lost that ability. What is the ETA on this fix and can you guys put it in front of someone who recognizes the urgency of the need for mobile device users to be able to print labels from iphone and ipad?@coinslabz26 I'm not familiar with this issue. I'll hunt down some answers and get back to you in this thread 🙂
Definitely don't want to give you a hard time but you replied to this thread in January regrading the same issue.

I think the site is getting grumpy that I am trying to access my account from three IP addresses on one phone, and four computers. 🤪 🤪 🤪@gwzcomps - I know it's inconvenient, but after all the recent reports about hacked accounts and how much trouble they are having getting everything sorted out, personally I'd rather the inconvenience of logging in more often than dealing with getting charged selling fees and store subscriptions for someone fraudulently selling stuff on my account. 😲
If you use a good mix of uppercase, lowercase, and special characters (#@%?!>) and a password that is unique to ebay then it is VERY unlikely you will have to deal with hacked account issues. Ebay is a very secure site with a lot of money invested in security, but if you use the same password everywhere then your password is only as secure as the most insecure site you've used it on.
Password complexity is less of a problem than length. Longer passwords are better overall. MyPasswordIsNotPassword123456! is generally more secure than something like 1$eHY?o because there are more characters the attacker has to get through. Also the first one is easier to remember. Sites that are preferential to my made up second example are dumb because odds are the user will just be constantly resetting their password because it is too hard for a human to remember a bunch of passwords like that.
True security requires 3 factors.

So this is confirmation that coins will be 100% rolled out in time?
Hi @coinslabz26, the quoted section from Marni does confirm that those will be included, and that this will be 100% rolled out over time. Jordan followed up immediately afterwards with the following:
"Yeah, and I know there were some rumors swirling last week on some of the Community discussion boards around, "Oh, does this mean eBay's going to get out of bullion or travel or timeshares?" I think was one of the categories, and the answer is definitely no. There's just, as you can probably appreciate, across all of these different categories there are different regulations and rules in place and so we're working on all of the payments requirements. These categories, cross-border trade scenarios - it all takes time, but there's no incentive for us, there's no reason as part of Payments for us to not support all of these businesses."

Recently I have noticed a weird thing on the community boards. It is happening on this board.
The last message I looked at had Message 32 of 24. I've seen it on other threads.
What does it mean?
@golfingaddict we've noticed this too. The numbers update after a few moments, but it can be a little confusing before they update. It's on my list of Khoros issues, though I don't have any new information about it.
