I'm about to lose my TRS status because of "tracking not uploaded on time" defects. What!?!
Why is "late shipping" only a defect if the item arrives late, but "tracking not uploaded on time" is an automatic defect? That makes no sense.
I have two recent instances where the person bought several items and I shipped them together, but forgot to move the tracking number to the second ID. This is costing me my TRS status...even though the items were shipped on time and received on time.
The rule says it's a defect, regardless of on-time carrier scan.
AND to add insult to injury, I may get TWO defects for each of these sales, if the packages happened to arrive late...which they often do because I live in the middle of nowhere.
AND because I was being helpful to my buyers and allowed them to buy several items over a 24-hour period, I am a bad seller and don't deserve TRS status.
Bottom line: uploading of tracking information has nothing whatsoever to do with customer service. Why should it EVER generate a defect? ESPECIALLY when the rules specifically require the defect regardless of whether or not the item was shipped on time and received on time?
Hi @vrykalak, the tracking uploaded and validated by a carrier metric exists because the buyer experience is improved by having valid tracking as early as possible. As we have discussed before, if you have any shipping metric questions we recommend you contact Customer Service to have this reviewed and to discuss the specifics.
Sorry, but you misunderstood my question.
Tracking was uploaded and the item was scanned on time for the first item each person bought.
The defect is "tracking not uploaded on time" for the SECOND item the person bought.
And the defect stands even though the item was scanned, shipped, and delivered on time.
I fail to see that this has any relation to customer service, and I think it is horribly unfair to a seller who has gone out of hir way to accommodate a customer.
Hi @vrykalak, I apologize for the misunderstanding, though I do believe this is still best addressed by Customer Service. Customer Service exists to help you with your account specific issues, and since you have indicated this is an issue you have run into multiple times, I believe they would be best equipped to gather the details from you and get this reported. Be sure to download your full tracking report and identify the details of any shipments you feel were not recorded correctly so this information can be provided when you contact us.

Thanks @missjen831, we're aware of the issue and we're looking into it.

Not that it is that important, but I am getting alert emails today that I mentioned myself on posts on the boards.
I have been getting alerts when someone quotes a response given by another poster who had tagged me. I hope that made sense. What I mean is, you tagged me in a response this morning. If someone responds to that comment and quotes your response that contains my tag, I am going to be notified that THAT person tagged me. Even though they didn’t. It’s very annoying and I don’t know if it’s a new change or what but I hope it goes away.

Thanks, everyone! The thread is now closed as the hour is up. We'll answer any questions that we haven't got to yet.
We'll see you on the boards - have a great rest of the week!

Why were Promotional banners removed from the top of listings?
What happened to the 31 day notice ebay told us we would receive for changes?
Hi @mallontown - the Promotional banner was moved from the top of listings as it was found to increase conversion for sellers. It's still something being closely monitored and if a negative impact to sales are seen overall there could be further changes.

What do you mean by everchanging market
Hi @golfingaddict, the ecommerce landscape is evolving constantly. The expecations of buyers are always changing and we work to adapt to these expectations. When I referred to the nature of online retail earlier, it was in reference to our committment to always improve. @dtexley3 asked if there was any chance of changes in the future, and while we aren't able to speak to any possible changes down the line, we are always looking to enhance our platform to improve the buying and selling experience, so changes are certainly possible.

This is from an August 2017 and November threads and still continues to be an issue when searching by XXX miles within item location / zipcode:
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/some-of-my-listings-are-appearing-under-international-sellers/...When I search anonymously / not signed in and use the SEARCH WITHIN xxx Miles option, any zipcode that outside mine shows my listings as International Seller, not United States Seller.
Only in the DEFAULT mode do my listings appear as United States Seller.
When I click on and open a listing, then it does show as United States Seller. But potential buyers are not going to click on the listing if they think it is from an international seller.
Any update on this yet?
Hi @monkeystein, I've looked into this and found that it's a known issue. We definitely want to get it resolved, so I'll do what I can to get this pushed up to the appropriate team.
Brian didn't ebay know that FedEx updated their smartpost shipping rates by use of DIM now , it from 166" to 139" ?
Hi @carlmarxx, I apologize, I'm not sure I understand the question. Have you run into an issue while printing a label on our site? I've checked FedEx and their documentation various dimensions, depending on the weight of the package, though none of those dimensions are 166" or 139". If you can clarify the question for me and tag me in a new thread, I'll be more than happy to take a closer look!

Can anyone on ebay give us some more info (in laymans terms) on the Adyen/paypal/ebay announcement?
Ceo Wenig said this yesterday in reguard to Ayden and I do not think it is helpful.
"It's not going to be optional. We're not going to hold peoples' hands and beg them to move over. We're basically going to say your eBay account is now your full end-to-end eBay account for all your activities including payments. And that's the way it works on every other marketplace."
Hi @mallontown,
We just published content in our Seller Center. Here's a link to that page, this page will be updated as we move through the process and have updates to share.
Thanks.

Hello, this is a minor issue but it’s bit inconvenient for some buyers so I thought I would mention it here. It seems eBay is not showing up to date tracking info for my current purchases. Both the app and the website acknowledge that tracking has been provided but neither recognize that the items have been shipped. Acceptance scan was over the weekend and the package is in transit. I have no way to copy and paste the tracking number into the USPS website while mobile so I don’t know if one of my items is out for delivery today. So it’s inconvenient. I know other buyers have experienced this and some are assuming the seller hasn’t shipped yet and has only printed a label and that’s not good.
Hi @missjen831, I'd love to get some screenshots of what you are seeing so I can include these in a suggestion for improvements. I will email you shortly so keep an eye out!

eBay's "Fast and Free by XXX" needs to be addressed, please.
Yesterday we had a buyer who made an offer saying the item would be shipped on his UPS/FedEx account. The very next message was (paraphrased) "ship today to arrive Friday, Feb 16 per your listing".
Another buyer stated the same today. These are not the first.
NO WAY can a package get from MO to MD that quickly with USPS (the buyer didn't provide the account number until today, anyhow, so I shipped 2nd day). But there are many buyers who are taking eBay's "fast and free by XXX" seriously. We do not - and will not voluntarily - participate in the Guaranteed program because it is not realistic.
Please re-visit this with whomever.
~M
Hi @terrycanarsky - the Fast N Free program is a logo that may be displayed when a listing offers free shipping and there's a high probability that the item will be delivered in 4 business days or less based on the buyer's location and your shipping history with similar items.
This program isn't something that's required by any means. If you do not wish for your items to display the Fast N Free logo where relevant you should contact Customer Service so they can work on getting you removed from that program.

Hi @golfingaddict@ you can't turn of @mention notifications, but you can turn off email notifications of @mentions.
Lithium rolled out a global fix to a quote issue, that has some bugs we're working on having to do with mentions.
We'll keep the Community posted.

Thank you for providing this forum to address concerns.
Can you explain why ebay allows blocked buyers to use a different account to circumvent that block.
It happened to me and the buyer even used his same address and ship to name.
I know the policy so please don't cut and paste unless you think it will help others.
What I want to know is why ebay allows it to occur?
It looks like a monetary decision and is not there to help sellers.
Hi @mallontown - I can't speak to a broader 'why', but I can tell you that we have a policy in place to protect you if a buyer circumvents a block with intent to disrupt your business. If an item is purchased from you and there are no issues with the transaction we would encourage you to consider it a successful sale.
If you have reason to believe that a buyer has circumvented your blocked list in order to harm your business please conact Customer Service so they can investigate and take appropriate action.
