Not that it is that important, but I am getting alert emails today that I mentioned myself on posts on the boards. Smiley Frustrated

I have been getting alerts when someone quotes a response given by another poster who had tagged me. I hope that made sense. What I mean is, you tagged me in a response this morning.  If someone responds to that comment and quotes your response that contains my tag, I am going to be notified that THAT person tagged me. Even though they didn’t.  It’s very annoying and I don’t know if it’s a new change or what but I hope it goes away.

Thanks for providing this forum to address issues and concerns.
Can anyone on ebay give us some more info (in laymans terms) on the Adyen/paypal/ebay announcement?
Ceo Wenig said this yesterday in reguard to Ayden and I do not think it is helpful.

"It's not going to be optional. We're not going to hold peoples' hands and beg them to move over. We're basically going to say your eBay account is now your full end-to-end eBay account for all your activities including payments. And that's the way it works on every other marketplace."

eBay's "Fast and Free by XXX" needs to be addressed, please.

Yesterday we had a buyer who made an offer saying the item would be shipped on his UPS/FedEx account.  The very next message was (paraphrased) "ship today to arrive Friday, Feb 16 per your listing".

Another buyer stated the same today.  These are not the first.

NO WAY can a package get from MO to MD that quickly with USPS (the buyer didn't provide the account number until today, anyhow, so I shipped 2nd day).  But there are many buyers who are taking eBay's "fast and free by XXX" seriously.  We do not - and will not voluntarily - participate in the Guaranteed program because it is not realistic.

Please re-visit this with whomever.

This is an ongoing glitch, receiving less than 5 star automatic DSR feedback on Communication and Shipping Time since December, and it was mentioned on the PS Board at that time.

I have received less than the 5 star automatic DSR ratings for Communication, given according to the ebay Seller Protection Policy, several times. I have contacted customer service 5 times FIVE TIMES since December. One of the agents I spoke with removed one of the feedback and DSR ratings, but refused to remove the other 2. Another customer service agent, after I pointed out the glitch and the ebay seller protection policy, said that it is impossible to remove the DSRs and feedback. One customer service agent asked if I checked with my buyer why he/she left that less than 5 star feedback. I informed the agent that it's a big NO NO to ask customers about DSRs and feedback.

With a machine with as many moving parts as Ebay glitches are going to happen. I get that. In order to repair the damage done by glitches, customer service has to be excellent. The level of customer service at Ebay is absolutely unacceptable. In my life outside of ebay, if I had to call a company's customer service 5 times I would never do business with them again. Period.

Can you help fix this, please?

Hi @sable2013.1, I've seen some other reports of this happening. I'd like to get more details from you after the chat. Keep an eye out for an email from me!

brian@ebay

I have been complaining of this issue for months.  If you go back in the chats I mentioned it several times.  I emailed you guys about it.  I contacted Brian B about it.

And still nothing is done and I keep getting communication DSRs when no communication happened.

It seems strange that you are going to start all over to investigate this when your team has already done the ground work with no response or results.

@golfingaddict I was told this issue was resolved in mid-January. We will will circle back with the product team. To help, please send to me the item numbers this is still occurring - send to bburke@ebay.com

Thanks and I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Brian

Hello, this is a minor issue but it’s bit inconvenient for some buyers so I thought I would mention it here. It seems eBay is not showing up to date tracking info for my current purchases.  Both the app and the website acknowledge that tracking has been provided but neither recognize that the items have been shipped. Acceptance scan was over the weekend and the package is in transit. I have no way to copy and paste the tracking number into the USPS website while mobile so I don’t know if one of my items is out for delivery today. So it’s inconvenient. I know other buyers have experienced this and some are assuming the seller hasn’t shipped yet and has only printed a label and that’s not good.

I'm about to lose my TRS status because of "tracking not uploaded on time" defects. What!?!

Why is "late shipping" only a defect if the item arrives late, but "tracking not uploaded on time" is an automatic defect? That makes no sense.

I have two recent instances where the person bought several items and I shipped them together, but forgot to move the tracking number to the second ID. This is costing me my TRS status...even though the items were shipped on time and received on time.

The rule says it's a defect, regardless of on-time carrier scan.

AND to add insult to injury, I may get TWO defects for each of these sales, if the packages happened to arrive late...which they often do because I live in the middle of nowhere.

AND because I was being helpful to my buyers and allowed them to buy several items over a 24-hour period, I am a bad seller and don't deserve TRS status.

Bottom line: uploading of tracking information has nothing whatsoever to do with customer service. Why should it EVER generate a defect? ESPECIALLY when the rules specifically require the defect regardless of whether or not the item was shipped on time and received on time?

Hi @vrykalak, the tracking uploaded and validated by a carrier metric exists because the buyer experience is improved by having valid tracking as early as possible. As we have discussed before, if you have any shipping metric questions we recommend you contact Customer Service to have this reviewed and to discuss the specifics.

Sorry, but you misunderstood my question.
Tracking was uploaded and the item was scanned on time for the first item each person bought.
The defect is "tracking not uploaded on time" for the SECOND item the person bought.
And the defect stands even though the item was scanned, shipped, and delivered on time.
I fail to see that this has any relation to customer service, and I think it is horribly unfair to a seller who has gone out of hir way to accommodate a customer.

If you are shipping these together using the Ebay label system, you should combine your shipment.  If you do that, the tracking number will automatically upload to all of the transactions you combined into the shipment.  Or if you prefer, you can manually upload the tracking number to each of the other transaction.  The system can not know you shipped the items together unless you tell it you have.  That is why you are having the problem you are having.  All you need to do is make a minor change in how you generate the shipping label and this problem will go away for the future.

I am not aware of any way I can combine shipping using the eBay label system.
Where is that documented.

In previous years, I have tried, and was told it wasn't possible, unless the items were paid for at the same time.
Meanwhile, I am losing TRS status because of something what wasn't my fault.
Basically, you are saying: tough beans, you should have known better.

This function has been around for years.  When you go into select the item you want to ship, select all the items [from the seller hub] that you want in one shipment.  I'm posting this quickly so that you get this much info.  I'll try to find the proper help page for further instructions.

I'm going to jump on the beat a dead horse, shipping boxes bandwagon here.

I'm truly disappointed that rather than expanding offerings, they've drastically cut the sizes of shipping boxes available.

Now more than 50% of my shipments now will have no eBay branding as I have to buy elsewhere.

I thought the goal with the shipping boxes was to help put the eBay brand out there.  It also created some professionalism to the eBay buying experience.  Cutting options is counter-productive.  Wouldn't/Shouldn't part of the advertising budget be allocated to this?

I know the Community Team has no influence on this and my post is ultimately futile.  I just wanted to say my piece regardless.

Thank you for providing this forum to address concerns.
Can you explain why ebay allows blocked buyers to use a different account to circumvent that block.
It happened to me and the buyer even used his same address and ship to name.
I know the policy so please don't cut and paste unless you think it will help others.
What I want to know is why ebay allows it to occur?
It looks like a monetary decision and is not there to help sellers.
