So im trying to list an item and it takes to a Verify your phone number page.
I have already done this.
It will no longer take my phone number and says "Something went wrong. Check everything is right below."

I have had this problem for almost ten days and I've opened two tickets. Unfortunately, ebay support has been unable to help me. The first time I spoke with someone, they said they escalated it and told me to try back in twenty four hours. The second time I contacted them through chat the representative told me to reboot my machine and clear my cookies-history. Both attempts did nothing to fix the problem.

I have this same problem and it has persisted for a month with no resolution. I have spoked to Ebay 3 times each Ebay representative gave me different instructions (none of which did anything.) I even was handed off to a 3rd level support person 3 weeks ago (someone in the US) who told me the problem was known and would be fixed by Monday (2 weeks ago) - never fixed still have the problem.
I see this is a big problem as this error message shows up in countless Ebay posts when you search for the error on Google.
I have done literally everything that Ebay has directed me to do and I have even gone through my account with a fine tooth comb to make sure every reference to my contact information is accurate in the 200 places it seems to show up in my Ebay account and that has done nothing as well.
I have literally had this same account since 1998, the same phone number (verified dozens of times with Ebay) since at least 2009 and the same email address since at least 2004!

It's UNREAL this is still an issue, **bleep**? How can ebay not get this in order?
I'm in the same boat as you, it makes no sense.
One of the confusing thing is that I live primarily in Canada, so I've tried my SSN AND my SIN, neither work and I get the same error

Still no luck here. The irony is that Ebay customer service calls me on the very number I'm trying to verify (and which has already been verifyed countless times!!) I have gone through every possible setting I can think of to make sure all my information matches. When I was trying to mess with some of my payment options (as reading in other posts related to this problem) to change from Paypal to bank account I get directed to "you must open a seller account" which is new to me. But, I follow the instructions and click on the link that Ebay provides me in the message (to open a Seller account) and guess what.... I get sent to (you guessed it) a "VERIFY YOUR PHONE NUMBER" screen and (spoiler alert) I get the same ***darned error message!!@#$@#!

So when you go to your account and check your personal information, it displays the "verified" notation?
If that is the case then I do not know what the problem might be.
I did see another thread that mentioned a problem with old accounts -- apparently if your account is old enough, you were never required to provide a date of birth, and when such information became required, a default value may have been added to your account with no apparent way to see or change it, from what I understand. Such hidden data can cause problems when signing up for Managed Payments, for instance.
One user had two accounts that shared an email address -- at one time that was apparently possible -- but since the email address was not unique, that caused problems when it became time to change certain account details. Registering a unique email address allowed the changes to be made in that case, I believe. But if you are able to change account details, that does not sound like your issue.

Oh yes, I'm verified (both email and phone number). I've had my account since 1998, same email address for at least 15 years, same number for at least that long too. I have no issues updating any information - just the 'verify number' error anytime the Ebay system has to run the verification (neither voice call or text message works - same error no matter what)

I'm also having problems with this. All my information is up to date and matches the account. This is asinine. I might as well sell on Craigs List....

if you are in the us. change your country code to canada. worked for me. i cant believe this company is still in bussiness.
