So im trying to list an item and it takes to a Verify your phone number page.

I have already done this.

It will no longer take my phone number and says "Something went wrong. Check everything is right below."

Having the same issue… tried it 100 times with the Canada trick and the 1 in front of the number both ways didn’t work. Literally tried everything. eBay doesn’t care about this issue with it being here for over a year they don’t seem to even give it a look.

I have had this same issue for a  yr. I haven't been able to list anything because of it. Ebay is losing customers and money. I am also losing potential customers.  Really wish they would get it resolved.  I have tried 3 different browsers and my cell every time I still get something went wrong.

Not sure if your issue is the same as mine but some folks have had success by using the Canada +1 instead of the US +1.  Agreed, Ebay is a steaming pile of sht in regards to support of any kind but they sure are good and timely at collecting those fees.

I finally figured it out!! You have to authorized 2-step verification!!!

Seconding what@kaykayr24 said, turning on 2-step verification with the phone number already in my account allowed me to get through the seller registration.

UK solution:

1. Click the "Create listing" button.
2. When you get the "Call or Text" option click "Cancel"
3. Change country to Canada
4. Change phone number to 447934xxxxxx (adding 44 and deleting leading 0)
5. Click "Continue"
6. When you get the "Call or Text" option click "Call"
7. You will not receive a call, but the item will list.

Then go and change your phone number back to UK I guess?
