internet explorer 11 doesn't work with ebay

Can't login into my account with internet explorer 11

We are having issues with it too but not using Explorer 11. Getting internet explorer errors from multiple computers and locations when trying to load Ebay. BIG problem for selling and buying. We can't list anything and I am  guessing many buyers can't even get in to see/buy items. Ebay if you want us to use your platform, please fix. This has been going on for days now.

I think IE is on the way out, even with Microsoft.........  best thing is probably to try to use a different browser.

You could try clearing cache to see if that helps any..........

I am having the same problem with both IE and Firefox not being able to access the eBay home page to login.  I have to access eBay via a back door - from an eBay email for example.   It's been going on since Saturday morning.

Same.  I called yesterday and was told I wasn't the only one.

but ebays deal of the day is for Iphones, I pads, and apple laptops fixing this issue would provide less incentive for buyers to switch to those devices witch also would push them towards apple pay . Clearly ebay wants you to not use the platform you are on because they are being paid by apple.

Lots of folks seem to be having problems with IE 11, particularly with the main eBay page. Navigating to the eBay sitemap and going from there to your eBay landing page or watch list (bypassing the main page entirely) might help.

If Firefox seems to work better when you open a private window and then go to eBay, try deleting all your eBay cookies and and site data and clearing your cache.

To everyone reading on this thread, please also see other threads here at Technical Issues regarding this topic. 

There are many users experiencing this and reporting here and only a small number of eBay customers use Community Boards to report it.  I'm a long time Buyer and also experiencing the problem.

This issue has a very negative impact for all (Sellers, Buyers, and eBay).  I don't know the numbers, regarding how many IE users there still are (and Firefox), but I can guess it's more than 10% of the Customer Base. 

Sellers are losing money every minute this problem isn't fixed and Buyers will go somewhere else.

I don't think that it is ie11 that is the problem.  I use it on EBay Spain and it Works perfectly but doesn't on Ebay UK

This worked for me but it is not an acceptable long term fix. eBay need to solve this.

I addressed this to Alan, the Community Boards Manager and he replied and will be looking into this.

As many of you know, a work-around is to bookmark another eBay page that's not the Homepage (Community Boards works).  Sign-in there and if you see another hang-up/error message, close the page and open again and you should be signed in.

Same here !!!  Can't get on Ebay with Internet Explorer !!!  Relieved to know that I am not the only one !!!  At least the problem has been reported to Ebay !!!  Hope it gets fixed soon !!!

I am having the same problem. windows 8.1 pro with internet explorer 11. 

I can not login from the home page ebay.com.

I have been going to this URL which is not the home page but it will let me log in.

I can log in from there and it seems to work and I don't get the error message.

Seems that any page will let you access as long as it is not the home page eBay.com. It is a temporary work around for now so carry on with business but if Ebay customers do not know this they will not be able to log in so no sales.

Mozilla Firefox browser seems work  just fine. I don't use Google chrome browser so I don't know about it.
