Hello,
Starting from today ebay Search Results no longer showing Seller ID, only generic word "Seller". Is it a technical issue or intentional change? Is it a technical issue or intentional change?
Thank you.

Customize the search to show what you want to see:

eBay's search has been customized to show the Seller IDs, however it is displaying the words 'Seller' in place of the actual Seller IDs.

Try clearing your browser cache and manually deleting eBay cookies.

After clearing out the cache and cookies, I'm still running into the same issue - eBay search results are showing word 'Seller' instead of the specific Seller IDs.

I'm seeing the same thing in both FireFox and Chrome (tested both logged in to 2 different accounts and in incognito mode).
Every single result I saw also had the "shop with confidence" tag line (I went as deep as page 15 with 60 per page results) even ones like this that don't exactly inspire confidence with that price and 0 feedback and every possible sort option (Best Match, Price + Shipping etc) also still displays this way.
devon@ebay kyle@ebay elizabeth@ebay is this a test/slow rollout that is working as intended or a technical issue?

Let's hope it's just an error because that would cause problems for me as a buyer (in other words, I won't shop here if I can't see seller ID in search results).
It would also cause problems for everybody on this forum that volunteers their time to help other buyers and sellers ... you know, eBay's "free" customer service.

To anybody seeing this @etonishar @valueaddedresource I suggest using the "tell us what you think" link or "?" icon or however it's displaying on the page you're viewing and filling out the feedback survey letting eBay know how bad this is.

@wastingtime101 good call and I will definitely be providing them feedback. Like you, I would curtail my browsing and buying on this site if this becomes a permanent change.
I have a mental image of someone who never actually uses the site thinking this is a great idea because it will increase click throughs but...I don't think that will actually work out for them. 😂

FYI, this is not affecting every user or all searches, at this point.
I can still see sellers' user IDs, on two accounts, and with Edge and Firefox.

@lacemaker3 correct - though I should mention (because I forgot to in my previous post) that I am seeing it for all searches in my testing and I tried a variety of keywords across multiple categories.
So it would appear that for those who are part of whatever test or glitch this might be, it's a universal change not limited to specific keywords or categories.

I'm seeing the same behavior here. Multiple browsers, cache and cookies cleared.
Obfuscating seller IDs is a complete disaster, and I say that as a BUYER! I want to see who is offering what AS I BROWSE AND SEARCH.
I hope to heck this is an error and not an intentional change. It is completely moronic.

@wastingtime101 thought you'd be interested in this - if this is an intentional change and they end up keeping it, looks like the "direct from brand" badge is going to be even more valuable.

I hope it's another glitch because you cannot see the coupon sales either, buy 4 get 1 free and the sponsored listings show 0% as my feedback.

After clearing out the cache and cookies, I'm still running into the same issue - eBay search results are showing word 'Seller' instead of the specific Seller IDs.
I was able to see the effect in one browser, but seller usernames were appearing in search results once more for me after clearing cache and manually deleting eBay cookies in that browser.
Try a private or incognito browser window. If you can see seller usernames in search, then the issue is tied to the browser history and can likely be fixed by completely clearing the cache ("for all time" if that is an option) and by manually deleting just the eBay cookies and then restarting the browser.
