Yesterday I updated the eBay app on my Android. Today I sat down to do some listings, and when I attempt to 'upload photos from mobile', the app on my phone will only access 'cloud media app.'
I am at a total loss here. I can click on albums, but it won't show them all (only shows 4). At the very top of the screen it now says, "This app can only access the photos you select."
Before today, I have never seen this 'cloud media app' option. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I have gone into every single setting that I can find. In my eBay app settings, I have it set to access all photos on my phone. Not sure what else to do.

In case this is any sort of solution for anyone landing here. I've had this for weeks, could only view 4 albums and couldn't access any cloud other than view a tick box. Cleared cache, reinstalled app, etc. Had help desk on, their solution was to use desktop if app wasn't working. I did go on to desktop version, went through setting up item for sale, and when adding photos, clicked 3 dots and unticked cloud storage, but then finally when selected "browse" got access to phone albums. Also deleted an old draft which may have stuck. Something righted a wrong, and when I went back to the app I was then able to "browse" to phone albums.

I've been calling ebay about this issue since yesterday morning. It seems when the updates to app went into place, it knocked out our ability to grab photo's from mobile upload although they won't report that it seems. I've put in a few tickets for it. Nothing yet. Mine still won't upload. Obviously, coders or website people didn't check their work before going live with things. It happens a lot. Not just with ebay but with many coders or website designers. Work should be checked BEFORE going live. Lots of lost money for ebay and for sellers with these mistakes. If they told agents about it or sent an email to sellers on it, it would save time and trouble. I feel bad for the agents, they try to help but it isn't us, it is the software issues and mistakes on their end. Hopefully someone will wake up and try to fix it. I feel your pain. 😞

Agree! Ebay is well known for dropping code in LIVE instead of trying it in the background first. I was one of he people that would try all sites and links out before my company (not ebay) went live on anything. It saved the company a ton of time and money and debugged everything before it went live. It saves the sellers a lot of time, effort, and money. I wish ebay would hire a beta tester or at least one person to coordinate the software and design people to work in conjunction with the agents or even post a simple email on the issues. (head shake) - they just pretend it is us.......leaving the customer service people out in the cold until we as sellers debug their mistakes for them. They should pay us as beta testers.

Yep. no images will upload from any source. Says failed upload on every photo type. Absurd.
