Unable to post photos taken with my iPhone 12Pro

I have over 10k listings in my store, all photos taken with my iPhone. Now today, when I go to upload the photos to make some new listings, it says "Please fix your error(s). Remove media with errors

I have never seen this error before. Same phone, same computer. On my PC, the photos show a file extension of heic, which is supposed to be allowed?

Thoughts? Anyone encounter this before?

Re: Unable to post photos taken with my iPhone 12Pro

It was a recent iOS update. Go into your camera settings and turn off "optimize". Choose most compatible and it will work again.

Unfortunately you either need to reshoot or convert all the photos you have taken.

Re: Unable to post photos taken with my iPhone 12Pro

I seem to recall a similar situation that happened a while ago. Someone came up with a workaround that involved dragging the image files onto the mac desktop; that altered the image files in some unspecified way, allowing them to be uploaded to eBay once again.

Not sure if that will work in this case, but there may be a similar workaround.

I have a 12 pro; where is "optimize" in the settings?

The problem seems to affect some Mac users using the HEIC image format.
