Every time I click on "contact buyer" it takes me to my messages, which is not helpful. I've been selling for years and this is the first time I've been unable to contact a buyer through the "contact buyer" links. Clearly, something is off. What could be wrong?

If you are using a mobile browser, try using the eBay app or else request the desktop site version of the page with your mobile browser. Or try another browser.

If you are already using a desktop browser, try a different link to reach your messages such as this link to messages from members:

https://mesg.ebay.com/mesgweb/ViewMessages/0/m2m

If you are unable to reply to a message, you should be able to compose a new message by going to a user's feedback or profile page and using the "contact" link there. If you are prompted for an item number, use a current item number or select "not about an item".

If all else fails, try contacting your buyers on ebay.ca instead of ebay.com.

desktop pc windows 10 brave browser contact buyer link on order details page is trashed, opens my messages now instead of a popup dialog box.

tried microsoft edge and buyers email address is shown on the page in alphabet soup with a handy dandy link to copy that mess to my clipboard and then make my way to my ebay messages.

another 2 steps back improvement not helpful, it worked fine the way it was.

so far the ebay mobile app has not been "improved" the same way...........yet

it's a new intermittent glitch, just happened to me. I just kept trying, and hitting refresh until it finally worked.

Ebay is chock full of bugs in all and new interesting ways, at this point any time I encounter a problem I assume it's yet another bug and wait 24 hours before posting in the technical issues forum. As you can see, there are many, many members with the same problem making posts here about different issues.

I just assume this is the new Ebay, roving technical bugs, minimum customer support and members providing canned responses until enough people have the same problem for the actual Ebay reps to acknowledge it after a week - and another week to actually possibly fix it. Rinse and repeat.

I have been having the same issue for the past few days. I was considering downloading a different browser, but since I see others are having the same problem I will probably just hold off a few days in hopes ebay fixes this glitch. In the meanwhile what has worked for me is to go to my sold items in the Seller Hub, then click on the little arrow next to the item, and then select "Contact Buyer" from that drop down menu.

Im a seller on ebay, when i click contact buyer at the top of the page while looking at the actual item page, it just brings me to my ebay message inbox, it does not open a message for me to send to the customer. Its broken.
