I'm having the same issue, did you get it worked out ?

I got approved for Paybright, but it doesn't work for me either. Just keeps telling me to use another payment method. I called Paybright and they went through a process then told me to wait 5 mins and try again. I did that but it still doesn't work. Not sure where to go from here except to keep calling Paybright until they resolve the issue.

This problem is so annoying.
I was approved for 3500.00, and applied for the purpose of buying a few smaller items for my kids for Christmas as well as a listing for 2 inexpensive laptops (approx. 1000.00 only).
When I purchased the small items, Paybright seemed to fail or succeed at random, giving the decidedly obnoxious and unhelpful "problem" error mentioned in other replies here. The first problem was that the expiry date they gave me was in the past.
When I went to purchase the laptops, after asking the seller considerable numbers of questions, as well as arranging a special listing (which also has Paybright on the listing and he DOES accept credit cards), I was embarrassed.
That is, I bought the item, then submitted payment and it APPEARED to work and said "thanks for your order blah.." and that it was successful, but then eBay has an error that says "The order was not successful. Order cost has not been included in the total amount."
I'm perplexed because my Paybright card still has more than enough credit on it to cover, and it actually said it was successful at first. It showed even in the purchase history with "$" as IF it were paid, but it was not. I'm super miffed because I spent a long time selecting the laptop I wanted to buy as a gift and Paybright is making me email again and again to no avail. I'm sure soon that the computers I was trying to buy will be sold.
Paybright just says that the problem is passed to their IT department but it is a long time now.
Every single time I try regenerating a card it fails now with that "select another payment method" error and there is no point now either because now all their cards have an expiry date of 11/19, which is in the past -_-
Finally, I called eBay who said that Paypal was not validating the cards and I should call Paypal. I called Paypal and they don't know how to help unless the card is one added to your Paypal account, which is not possible (I tried - even before the expiry dates on generated cards were in the past). Paypal and eBay both thought Paybright should figure out their card.
All three pass the buck to the others. At first eBay said "we haven't implemented that payment method yet" until I said I'd already used it. Paypal "we can't tell what triggers the validation problems" -_- and Paybright "oh the IT dept the IT dept" and it takes forever. You'd think that their clients not being able to use the money they've borrowed would be a high priority? Isn't the interest how they earn profit?
This problem is truly infuriating. I wouldn't have applied for Paybright if I'd known it wasn't even going to work - they do a credit check too. I'm worried now that for the small purchase I made they might not take the correct amount or something?

Sabrina I have had the exact same issue...its so annoying and you just keep getting bounced from paypal to paybright to ebay and nothing gets resolved. I had an unpaid warning because of this which I would not have bid on an item if I hadnt been approved from paybright. It's ridiculous.

If you find your credit card is not being accepted with a message such as "The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number." it might be due to one of the following reasons:

Hey thanks for the advice.
Unfortunately, this is nothing to do with our own Paypal accounts. You cannot add Paybright temporary cards to Paypal accounts and we submit the credit card directly.
Paybright (Canadian banking institution based out of Toronto) issues a credit card that you enter when you select to pay by credit card - not going to Paypal at all.
It is the same way I would buy something with a VISA on eBay without actually even needing to have a Paypal account at all.
I am honestly surprised that eBay would have Paybright being promoted all over ebay.ca - on every listing under the buy now buttons, yet nobody there seemed to know anything about their own system.
This is additionally bizarre because online Paybright seemed to have a positive reputation but now we are being ignored.
The last thing I heard back from them was before I posted my first reply here, and they just ignore all attempts at communication afterward, as if they don't know how to fix the problem or understand at all, so I decided to just ignore us completely. I guess their good reputation will go down the drain at this rate - they are literally offered as a credit card payment all over ebay.ca to everyone who qualifies - it is extremely embarrassing as a buyer to arrange a purchase or above, actually buy it then the payment doesn't work suddenly even though the funds are supposedly available.
Since then as well, the date has passed where they were supposed to withdraw my monthly payment from my bank, and they still have not done so days later. At this point, I just assume it is never going to work, but I am still stunned that eBay seems to know nothing about a card that they themselves stick as an option under every single buy now button! And am still freaked out wondering if they are going to take their payment out at all? For the correct amount?
Usually, when a company stops replying to customers, there is something bad happening.

also for me I have used paybright on ebay before with no issues, paid it all off, and then was trying to use it again...nothing changed in my account on ebay or paypal or paybright so there is something bizarre about it not working now. I expected ebay to be able to rectify the problem or stop promoting paybright as it doesn't work.

If it's a Canadian card......have you tried posting on the Canadian board? They might have more info than we do.....

Yesterday, I received a PM on eBay (maybe they saw this discussion) from someone higher up I think at Paybright asking me to contact them to resolve the problem, so I emailed them back. I did mention that a lot of people were having this problem.
When I hear something or if there is a solution, I'll update people here too.
I wondered why the original post wasn't on eBay.ca forums instead of .com, but I think Paybright did see it. Also you can use it to buy from USA sellers too (but from ebay.ca)
