There is a bug in the rescheduling procedure of the Scheduled Listings page that causes the scheduled starting time to change if the user is not in the Pacific time zone. I have screenshots showing how the error occurs, but I'll post them in a reply below this one, so that the image thumbnails don't get all stacked up on the main page of this group.

The bug involves the time zone offset where the user is located, relabeling the user's Start Time as Pacific time without actually applying the zone correction. In my case, I'm in the Central time zone, two hours ahead of Pacific, and if I reschedule a listing to begin on a different day, the start time I originally scheduled will be pushed later by two hours.
Here's how it goes wrong:
Step 1: Here is a listing I have scheduled to begin on October 13 at 5:15 Pacific time (which is 7:15 Central time). I plan to reschedule it to October 20, same time.
Step 2: I open the Actions menu to select the Rechedule option:
Step 3: That brings up this page. I am about to select October 20 for the date. Notice that the time is showing my Central time setting, but labeled as the Pacific time zone:
Step 4: After clicking the Reschedule button, my listing is now showing the intended date, but the wrong starting time:
Every time I reset the date, the starting time will creep forward two hours, the time zone offset between where I am and where eBay is. Keeping time zone offsets straight in my head is difficult enough for me, but it looks like I am not the only one with this problem. 😉

This is happening to me as well, it's unthinkable to me that a bug like this is not being fixed after two years. Every time I try to edit my listings the time changes seemingly at random, changing by a day and then by an hour, it's just unusable.

A couple issues I've seen this year with scheduled start times:
This seller is on Eastern Time, and scheduling single listings recognizes their time zone, but using bulk edit is doing what @a_c_green mentioned in their OP - adjusting the scheduled start by 3 hours to Pacific Time. So the problem exists with editing singles and editing in bulk.

This seller is on Pacific Time, but when they use a template, the start time of their scheduled listings jumps ahead 7 hours from what they entered.

Whaaaat? It's doing that again? I thought we fixed that two years ago (almost to the day, in fact).
...and by "we," I do include me. Within a day or two of my posting this topic (and reporting it via the comments link on the rescheduling form as well, which was more likely the trigger), I received a phone call from one of the programmers in that area to ask for more details. Together on the phone we went over the steps I had followed (as shown in the screenshots above) so he could see the error occurring, and a short time later it was fixed. It's really disheartening to see that error come back after all this time.

That suggests to me that it's reading the seller's desired start time as Greenwich Mean Time; i.e. it's not applying the correct time zone offset of -0700 hours. That particular error does not appear to be exactly the same as what I was reporting in 2021 (where it would automatically assume PST by mistake), but it's definitely in the same ballpark, no doubt about that.

Hey @wastingtime101 thanks for checking in. I'm not seeing any known issues or other reports from members that are running into this. I also wasn't able to reproduce it on my end, so I'm not sure what other variables are in play that might be causing this to happen for you and the others in this thread.
@a_c_green and @collectotcg_shop I'd definitely recommend contacting our customer service agents to get these instances reported with all the proper documentation.

Sorry, I didn't notice the year on the OP.

Great to see a quick and pro-active response from the eBay team, if you guys need any more info to debug this issue, please let us know and we'll do our best to document the experience step-by-step.

Mine has just started doing this on new listings. I set it to start at a certain time then it jumps ahead 2 hours. I’m on CT. Never had this problem before. Is there anything I can do?

I am also now having this problem with listing times automatically changing forward 3 hours. This is a nuisance.

I am having this issue as well and first identified the issue last Saturday (02/01/2025). I live in NY - Eastern time and have checked all applicable and/or appropriate settings to ensure it was not an Apple Update or phone issue. In addition, I have checked and reset my network connection to verify that it is accurately utilizing eastern standard time as well. All checks passed. I tend to start listings at 8-8:30 eastern (so that they will end around 5-5:30 San Jose) but they are defaulting to 11-11:30pm. I will attempt to edit my listing to no avail. Seems like a complex yet simply archaic glitch. Will eBay be addressing this as listings times are paramount to purchasing trends. I guess ultimately until eBay can correct this error, what time am I actually listing my goods? Is it defaulting 11-11:30 in San Jose? Or 11-11:30 in NY? Thanks for the insight in advance! 🙏🏻

@chtrifi0 There's been some confusion about this recently because the app used to recognize local time, but now when you schedule a listing it's in eBay's home-base pacific time zone but the time zone isn't displayed.
Because you're on the east coast you'll have to subtract 3 hrs from your scheduled time. Once you hit save you'll see that time jump forward 3 hrs to local time.
I suggest shaking your device while the app is open to file a tech report. More people reporting, higher this goes on the fix list for eBay to either add time zone indicator or reprogram to local time.

Great advice! I will do that for certain. Just like logging incident or intake tickets at my job, the more tickets logged the higher the priority becomes. I appreciate you !

Just did it. I hope they correct this. It doesn’t require a major recode or patch either. Should be a Pretty simple fix.

I remember a while back having a similar problem with time zones when scheduling listings. It had disappeared for a while, but now it's back again🤨🙄🙄 Aggravating for sure.
When using the Ebay APP, and myself being located in the Eastern Standard Time (EST); I added 3 hours to my desired start (8:00pm) and entered 11:00 PM as the start time, just after I hit "Revise" the first screen that pops up from Ebay does show my desired time of (8:00pm EST) Problem is: when viewing that listing in the Scheduled listing section of the App, the scheduled time for that listing shows (11:00pm) with no indication of what Time Zone that time is. Although when logging into Ebay's website (without using the App) and checking that scheduled listing, it does show the Time Zone indicator (11:00pm PST)
That Ebay App needs some more work again for sure!
